The final Marketing Challenge is to submit a simple concept map (mind map)of marketingExplain..

The final Marketing Challenge is to submit a simple concept map (mind map)of marketing.
You can draw this on a piece of paper and then take a picture of it and attach that to your post.
The map should have a central concept of marketing and branch out from there. Think of all the inputs and how they are related to each other. You should start by answering the question, “Marketing is…” This will give you a list of concepts.
To see what a concept map looks like, you can use the following link to view various images. The key word here is that the map will be simple.
You can hand draw this and take a picture of it and paste that into Word or use Smart Art in Word or use this program:

You are on your own to figure it out but here is a link to a Youtube tutorial. Please note that you can export the map to a jpg file (a picture) and then paste that into Word to upload into Blackboard.

Here is an example of a mind map:

Evaluate proposer an housing customer may want to review and approve the plans rochure’s layout before printing is started.

Paper details

This the terms should see if the RFP is stated it. The RFP might state the approvals required by the customer. For example, the
housing customer may want to review and approve the plans before construction is
started. The brochure customer may want to review and approve the brochure’s
layout before printing is started.
8. Some RFPs mention the type of contract the customer intends to use. It could be a
fixed‐price contract, in which case the customer will pay the contractor a fixed
amount, regardless of how much the work actually costs the contractor. (The
contractor accepts the risk of taking a loss.) Or the contract might be for time and
materials. In this case, the customer will pay the contractor whatever the actual
costs are. For example, if the RFP is to remodel a basement, the RFP might state that
the contractor will be paid for the hours expended and the cost of materials.
9. An RFP might state the payment terms the customer intends to use. For example,
the brochure customer may intend to make one payment at the end of the project.
On the other hand, the customer for the house may specify progress payments,
based on a percentage of the total price, that are made as certain milestones are
accomplished—25 percent when the foundation is complete, another 25 percent
when the framing is complete, and so on, until the entire project is finished.
10. The RFP should state the required schedule for completion of the project and key
milestones. It might state simply that the house must be completed within six
months, or it might include a more detailed schedule. For example, the billing and
collection system must be designed and developed and a design review meeting
conducted within four months of the start of the project; then, the system must be
installed and tested within four months of the design review; and, finally, the
contractor must provide all system documentation and operator training within one
month of the system’s installation. In addition to the required project completion
date, the RFP may also indicate required dates for key milestones during the project.
11. The RFP should provide instructions for the format and content of the contractor
proposals. If the customer is going to compare and evaluate proposals from several
contractors, it is important that they be consistent in format and content so that a
fair evaluation can be made. Instructions might state a required outline or table of
contents, the maximum number of pages, specific requirements to provide a
detailed breakdown of cost elements, or even the font size and margins for the
proposal. The RFP should indicate the due date by which the customer expects potential
contractors to submit proposals. Customers want to receive all proposals by a
certain date so that they can compare and evaluate them at the same time. For
example, a customer may give potential contractors 30 calendar days from the time
the RFP is formally issued to submit a proposal. Customers usually state in the RFP
that any proposals submitted after the due date will not be accepted for
consideration, because it would be unfair to give some contractors extra time.
13. An RFP may include the evaluation criteria. These are the criteria that the customer
will use to evaluate proposals from competing contractors in order to select the one
to perform the project. Criteria might include the following:
a. The contractor’s experience with similar projects. How recently has the
contractor completed similar projects? Were they completed within budget and
on schedule? Were the customers satisfied? The technical approach proposed by the contractor. What technology will be
used? What type and configuration of computer hardware will be used? What is
the design approach for the database? Which software language will be used for
developing the management information system?
c. The schedule. Will the contractor be able to meet or beat the required schedule?
d. The costs. If the estimate is based on time and materials, are the costs
reasonable? Have any items been left out? Does it appear that the contractor has
submitted a low cost estimate but will add costs after the project is under way,
resulting in final costs that are much higher than the original estimate?
14. In rare cases, an RFP will indicate the funds the customer has available to spend on
the project. Usually, the customer expects contractors to submit a proposal that
meets the requirements in the RFP at the most reasonable cost. In some situations,
however, it may be helpful for the customer to indicate a ‘‘ballpark’’ amount to be
spent. For example, stating in the RFP that the cost of building the house should be
about $300,000 would be helpful. Contractors can then submit proposals that are
appropriate to that level of funding, rather than submitting proposals for houses that
cost far more than the customer has available. Otherwise, all the contractors might
submit proposals with prices much higher than the available funding, and the
disappointed customer will have to ask all the contractors to resubmit proposals for
a less expensive house

How can a new organization utilize data from other companies, especially those that did not make good financial decisions to determine what matters most?Explain.

1.when looking at the financial aspects for the company, how can a new organization utilize data from other companies, especially those that did not make good financial decisions to determine what matters most?

2. Do you think that these (listed below) are the key measures the company should use in the balance scorecard? why or why not and if so, answer the statements behind it or tell why it should not matter….

Causes of succession have become such a great interest to ecologists because it has a tendency to dominate within its natural communities.Discuss on the causes.

Introduction
Causes of succession have become such a great interest to ecologists because it has a tendency to dominate within its natural communities (Connell and Slatyer 1997). Succession is described as a directional change in the species composition of an area over a given time. Furthermore, succession refers to changes studied in an ecological community following a disturbance that opens up a relatively large area (Connell and Slatyer 1997). Based on its habitat properties, it is divided into either primary or secondary succession. Primary succession occurs in areas that usually lack soil and/or has soils that are newly exposed by occurrences like receding glaciers. Whereas secondary succession occurs in communities that have been destroyed by a disturbance but have left behind soil that was present before (Johnson and Miyanishi 2008). An important difference between the two is the level of difficulty in which species can invade it. With primary succession, species would have more difficulty due to the new soils having less adaptation and therefore having a lower nutrient availability (Connell and Slatyer 1997). Bogs would fall under the category of primary succession.
Bogs tend to be dominated by sphagnum moss, sedges, and shrubs, predominantly by sphagnum moss. Autotrophs and many vegetation sites emerge from primary successions such as bogs (Connell and Slatyer 1997). The plant species sphagnum moss in particular, which takes in carbon, plays a crucial role within temperate and bog ecosystems (Berendse 2001). Sphagnum moss tend to effect environments it resides in due to its effects of elevated CO2, increased N deposition, and atmospheric deposition on growth of other plants. There are cases where sphagnum moss can actually increase the cover of vascular plants (Berendse 2001). Sphagnum moss are generally dominant within bogs but it is the adaptation of the other plant species that determine their growth and diversity, not the sphagnum moss. For example, it is possible for soil within bogs to be productive in favored conditions where nutrients are high and generally in moderate acidic environments (Aerts et al 1992). Succession shares a correlation with changes in other characteristics such as diversity due to soil productivity and how plant species adapt within a given zone.
Four hypotheses were tested with relation to diverse communities and physical properties between four zones. It was expected that the bog would be more acidic than the moraine (the wetlands), with the tamarack and shrub zones being the most acidic. Another expectation was that the shrub and tamarack zones would have a greater vegetation height and less water depth than the cat-tails/sedges or wetlands. It was also to be expected that the amount of open water, sphagnum moss and key plant species would vary with the zones in a characteristic manner. Lastly, it was to be expected that there would be a higher diversity of plants within the bog, primarily in the tamarack and shrub zones as opposed to the cat-tails/sedges and wetlands.
Under the case where these hypotheses are not supported, assumptions can that made that bogs do not have the advantage of holding lower pH levels than wetlands. A second assumption that can be made is that there is no advantage for zones that contain more sphagnum moss to have more mats of peat and raised areas. Another assumption is that different zones do not necessarily vary in their cover types .The last assumption is that can be made is that there is no advantage to having a higher diversity within the four different zones.
Methods
This study was conducted in two various locations. A set of data for three zones was collected at Volo Bog State Natural Area located in the northeastern city of Ingleside, Illinois. While another set of data was collected for a different zone in Moraine Hills State Park, at a moraine marsh in McHenry, Illinois. The subjects of this study was the distinct vegetation types found within the four separate zones: cat-tail and sedge marsh, shrub marsh, tamarack marsh, and moraine marsh. Three exercises were completed. Students were divided into groups of two or three and each group member was given a data sheet. Upon receiving the data sheet, each group was also given a measuring tape, four meter sticks, and litmus paper (pH strips). Each group had to then collect and record their own data.
Exercise one involved measuring water depth and vegetation. Beginning in the Volo Bog State Natural Area, each group was assigned a vegetation ring/zone to begin in. With a tape measure, an 8m (24ft) transect was measured along the boardwalk. Within every 33cm (1ft) interval, a sampling point was chosen by simply reaching an arm out and holding the meter stick vertical to the ground. With each sampling point, a type of vegetation or open water was indicated. This was done until a total of 25 sampling spots was completed. In addition, at 2m (6ft) intervals, the depth of water or height of the mat of vegetation was measured. Depth of water was measured simply by sticking the meter stick into the water as far as it could go. The height of the mat of vegetation was measured by aligning two meter sticks; one at water surface and the other at mat surface. The difference between the two was taken and this was the height to be recorded into the data sheet. This was done until a total of 4 transects (a total of 100 vegetation sampling points and 20 depth/height sampling points) were completed and recorded for.
Exercise two involved measuring the vegetation abundance along with percent coverage of open water and sphagnum moss. All four meter sticks were used to make a 1m x 1m square along the edge of the boardwalk. The number of individuals of each diverse species was counted within each 1m x 1m square. Using the same square, the percent coverage of sphagnum moss and open water was estimated. This was recorded by a number based off a percentage. A 0 was recorded for 0% percent covered by either moss or open water, a 1 was recorded for 1-25% covered, 2 for 26-50% covered, 3 for 51-75% and finally 4 for 76-100% covered. The percent cover of sphagnum moss and open water were recorded separately. The 1m x 1m square was done again in a different location along the boardwalk within the same zone.
Exercise three emphasized on determining the pH level which was taken from a collected water sample within the zone. A litmus paper was used to be dipped into a clean portion of water sample and then was left to dry. In an attempt to gain the most accurate data, more than one litmus paper was used. The color change of the litmus paper was to be recorded onto the datasheet. This completed the

Explain on the biological Impact awareness measures on community’s effort to manage their lands to governance provided by the state.

Focus: Environment/Ecology
Group 5- Condition: Consumer Awareness of Environmental Change
-Indices; # of New Car Dealerships, Consumer Energy Reports, Certified Organic Farmers
Source: In Process
Reason: Consumer Awareness of Environmental Change measures the communities capability to adapt to market changes. The frequency of New Car Dealerships emphasizes that a market exists for improving the fuel efficiency of cars. Consumer energy reports can be used to show that power is being used more efficiently by households and businesses. Although Organic Farmers are not the only contributors to local food multiplier, they take into consideration more sustainable practices and produce more than a commodity by bringing a product to market.
Group 5- Condition: Biological Impact Awareness
-Indices: Number of threatened species, proportion of fish stocks within biological limits, point source pollution levels, Access paths for wildlife, miles designated for walking and biking paths, water quality, air quality
Source: In Process
Reason: Biological Impact awareness measures the community’s effort to manage their lands to governance provided by the state. The number of threatened species shows, and the proportion of fish stocks within biological limits measures the sustainability of land usage that interacts with animals habitats. Access paths for wildlife, and miles designated for walking and biking keep human and animals paths separated and habitats intact. Water quality and air quality measures the industries and consumer habits impact on habitat.
Group 5- Condition Accessible Open Space
-Indices: Land Zoned for use, Land Zoned as Open Space, Proportion of Land Covered by Forest
Source: In Process
Reason: Accessible open space is an important ecological resource. Open space allows youth to connect to the environment and appreciate the impact their lives have on the surrounding habitat.

ASSIGNMENT
“For the last paper (8-10 page draft; 10-12 page final) students will need to draw connections between, and marshal evidence from, several of the works read in the course as well outside material in arguing their thesis. Topics should arise based on student interest, but should also have a connection to the course themes. This paper will include some research, with a minimum of three text-based sources required.”
This paper is compare and contrasts an artist in the real life and a character in the movie. The Chinese artist is Ai Weiwei and the character in the movie Rebel Without A Cause is Jim.

Please follow my outline to finish this paper and cite everywhere you use outside resources (in-text citation is requried)!!!!

INTRODUCTION
Thesis(should in the end of the introduction paragraph): Both Ai Weiwei and Jim are rebels in the societies in which they live who are trying to go against authority in their lives. Wei uses a productive and creative way to rebel against the Chinese government alone, but Jim rebels against school, police and his parents in a destructive way, harming both himself and others.

PART ONE
What are they rebelling against?
Ai Weiwei(activism): “rebel with a cause”. Government, society problem.

Jim: “rebel without a cause”. Parents, school.

PART TWO
How?
Ai Weiwei: “use productive and creative way” ART (analysis one or two artworks)

Jim: “use destructive way” in home: fight with parents
In school: fight with students (cliff jump with Buzz and cause Buzz dead)

PART THREE
Result
Ai: people accept him and more people support him to against government.

Jim: cause Buzz dead, Plato dead

PART FOUR
Why?

Why they want against?
Ai: not satisfy with society, government. Find the problem in government.
Jim: cant find a place in school.
Why they against in this way?
Ai: family background: father: Ai Qing (famous Chinese poet); art education; got family support.
Jim: His parents didn’t give him the right guide to solve the problem.
His parents have distorted value.

PART FIVE
Authority figure and how they react.
Ai: government treat him bad(In jail; destroyed his studio; surveillance him etc.….)
Jim: parents fight with each other; they trying to move to another place; police trying to help him.
