Requirement gathering

Requirement gathering

Introduction

Peace Corps volunteers are widely dispersed in the various countries they serve. However the challenges they get while serving in the remote places and the constant demand of urgent replenishment of medical supplies has led to the need of the development and implementation of an automated online access monitoring for service availability (McConnell 1993).

 Techniques

Techniques to determine the end to end guaranteeing of individual Peace Corps supplies is an important management task. To achieve this goal one has to monitor the medical supplies, consumption behavior and performance of each application to ensure that their supplies do not run out. The monitoring technique should be able to automatically detect shortage of a certain medicine and flag it at the headquarters where these supplies come from. This will make the individuals coordinating from the headquarters be able to respond to the Peace Corps shortage before it affects the people (Mathias, et al. 2003). The program was developed using mysql database.

Monitoring

This deals with accurate estimation of the availability of supply and reporting to the                     headquarters. By implementing this programme it will ensure a constant relay of information.

The computer on the other end receives information from the Peace Corps through the Internet. The Peace Corps will have to input each day the amount of supplies (Thomas, et al.2001). This information will be relayed to the other end by the programmer though the Internet. The results on the programs mysql database will be;

Medication used 100g paracetamol 200g brufen 08/08/2013

Medications remaining 300g paracetamol 50g brufen 08/08/2013

Medication used 20g brufen 0g paracetamol 09/08/2013

Medications remaining 30gbrufen 200g paracetamol 09/08/2013
