Discuss each film (Enoch Arden, 1911; and Move Over, Darling, 1963) in terms of adaptation and/or translation of the “Enoch Arden” poem.

Note that the directions for this assignment imply two necessary parameters: (1) the subject of the thesis is those two films, and (2) the perspective of the thesis is translation “and/or” adaptation.
With those two parameters set, your thesis will be some kind of claim — one at least halfway interesting and not painfully obvious — that you will prove using the C-C-E-C method and the rule-of-3 model.
You must still create a one-sentence thesis in which you state a premise for your essay. Use a rule of 3 and the C-C-E-C method to, respectively, organize and support your positions.
Informal citations are okay when using the C-C-E-C method.
The rule of 3 usually makes it unnecessary to worry about reaching the minimum word count. Simply tell the three (or 4) main points you’ll prove, prove them, then write a conclusion reiterating (differently than in the intro) what you just proved.
