Read over the article linked below  Then, using the Job Design Model, explain these findings.  You’ll need to use the 5 elements of the job design model.  You’ll need to indicate why these jobs (as a group) would score high or low on these 5 elements and how that could affect overall motivation in these jobs.

Then, pick one job from the lowest 10 and explain how a manager could make that job more intrinsically motivating by implementing either job enrichment or job enlargement.  You should be detailed in this suggestion and indicate why enrichment or enlargement is the appropriate choice.

The 2006 General Social Survey is based on interviews with randomly selected people who collectively represent a cross section of Americans.  It found that firefighters, the clergy and others with professional jobs that involve helping or serving people are more satisfied with their work and overall are happier than those in other professions, according to results from a national survey.
