Efforts to improve public health occur around the world every day. However, simply attempting to fix a problem without acknowledging, and respecting, the relationship between culture and health is not likely to have long-term success. Successful interventions, such as those in the case studies presented in your resources, demonstrate organizational collaboration. They also highlight the value of cultural relativism to improve population health outcomes. Working for the people (and with the people) can make an important impact on health.
To prepare for this Discussion, review Chapter 2, “Communities Working to Achieve Health Equity,” in the Promoting Health Equity document from Week 2. Select one case study to profile in your discussion. How do the key concepts, addressed in this week’s Learning Resources, relate to the case study you selected?
Post a comprehensive assessment of the following for your case study:
1. Briefly describe the population and health issue addressed in the case study.
• 2. In what way did cultural beliefs and behaviors contribute to the health issue in these case studies?
• 3. Which public health (or other) groups intervened, and how did they cooperate to improve health for this population?

To what extent are men more qualified to work in the prestigious jobs than women? Will this division ever be sorted out? Will the black woman ever recover from the minority status “syndrome?” Is it true that most men have huger and better roles in acting? This paper will tackle these questions in accordance with the presentation of the show.
Women are a significant figure in the Television today, but the male dominance in leadership roles undermines the success of women. According to the show, there are several aspects regarding the position of a woman in the Television. Firstly, it’s the number of women who are present in different fields of acting in the Television. This is justifiable in the way the director has assigned roles to both actors and actresses; women play the position that portrays them as followers of men. For instance, the show displays their domestic prowess, but does not show their contribution towards economic growth. On the contrary, the men hold large and outstanding positions, which show their intelligence in leadership, engineering, and medicine. Secondly, the Television show carries the theme of racism, where blacks have been treated harshly, and they have learned to cope with the minority. The same extends to the kind of jobs and education that they pursue. Due to the difficult life they are exposed to, they end up working for less paying jobs; hence, resulting in their attitude towards life.
