What are the different types of deception mentioned in the podcast? In your opinion, which one is the worst?

Briefly summarize the main point of the reading ask questions about aspects of the reading which are unclear. I will attach a “sample reading response” in which the template should be foll.owed.

1. Abstract of essay: This is a summary paragraph which tells the reader the main themes of your essay.

2. The Following Sections

a. The nature of the issue. This is where you define the issue and its parameters. Be as specific as necessary to clearly articulate your topic and introduce the issue. (Rubric line 1)

b. The historical foundation, perspective, context of the issue. (Rubric lines 1, 2, & 6)

c. The contemporary/current context, perspectives, foundations of the issue (Rubric lines 1, 2, 3 & 7)

d. The variety of perspectives regarding the issue. This section analyzing assumptions and positions. (Rubric Line 3)

e. The nature and role of culture, cultural groups, and individual cultural identities related to the issue (Rubric line 5)

The company that I choose is Amazon.
Identify Amazon  company industry and position in the industry. (what do the ratios say about the company and why?)
Historic performance and current performance
Evaluate corporate governance (SOX LAW): All the companies say that they are doing good corporate governance, because that is what they need to do, but are they really doing it? are really the important people (CEO , BOARD OF DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS) independant or they act together to benefit themselves?
Compare to other companies on the industry (leaders, followers, etc). (what are they doing, how are they financially , predictions, etc)
3 (or more if needed) non company resources (articles, analysis and financial reports) . also some can be from the company.
Comment whether you think it is a good idea to invest on the company or not (price of stock is gonna go up?), why? is the stock undervalued or overvalued, why? what basically gives a stock the value that it has.

You don’t have anything about evidence in it right now, or a “so what?” It indicates an essay that’s just going to explain what happens in the show (summarize it), and in fact that’s what happens. Right now, there’s basically no analysis in the essay — you are just going through the show chronologically and explaining that it’s funny and easily understood. Okay, but would anyone disagree with you about that? If not, then your thesis isn’t arguable — you need to pick out a more specific point, following the pattern of thinking I lead you through in the thesis development exercise. You’re heading in the right direction here, overall, but some more hard work and attention is needed to reach the At Standard level.
