My target organization is JOHNS HOPKINS MEDICINE.

Your paper must include a detailed summary of at least two different methods of quality measurement used by your target organization (Johns Hopkins Medicine). Include examples of how the methods may be used to improve organizational effectiveness. Give an evaluation of these methods and indicate when they should be used for best results.

Take the case of America’s social security system. Do you think that Nozick is correct that this system is a violation of individual rights, or do you think that society is better off with a safety net? Explain.

For the Session Long Project, you will be applying the concepts from the background materials to your own personal workplace experiences.  For this assignment, think of two former or current coworkers that had unique personalities.  Choose two people that you worked with closely enough that you were able to get a good idea of their personality traits and workplace attitudes.

Review the main personality traits and attitudes from the background materials, and think about how these apply to your two coworkers.  Then write a three page paper addressing the following issues:

1. How would you describe the personalities of these two coworkers?  Use the Big Five Personality traits and other personality traits discussed in Chapter 6 of Nair (2010) to find the personality traits that best describe your coworkers. You must use specific personality traits that you found in the background readings for your answer.
2. How would you describe their workplace attitudes including job satisfaction and organizational commitment? Use the concepts from Chapter 4 of Nair (2010) in your answer.
3. Do you think their personality traits impacted their workplace attitudes, or did other factors such as the work environment, job characteristics, etc. have a greater impact on their attitudes?

The Beach Dude (BD) employs a legion of current and former surfers as salespeople who push its surfing-oriented products to various customers (usually retail outlets). This case describes BD’s sales and collection process.

Each BD salesperson works with a specific group of customers throughout the year. In fact, they often surf with their customers to try out the latest surf gear. The BD salespeople act laid-back, but they work hard for their sales. Each sale often involves hours of surfing with their customers while the customers sample all the latest surf wear. Since BD makes the best surfing products, the customers look forward to the visits from the BD salespeople. And, they often buy a lot of gear. Each sale is identified by unique invoice# and usually involves many different products. Customers pay for each sale in full within 30 days, but they can combine payments for multiple sales.

BD manages their clothing inventory by item (e.g., XL BD surfer logo t-shirts), identified by product #, but it also classifies the items by clothing line (the lines are differentiated by price points as well as the intended use of the clothing, e.g., surfing products, casual wear, etc.).

Background

Markets in developed economies are approaching saturation level. Therefore, MNCs are searching for new untapped markets in emerging countries such as India and China. Since the healthcare industry will continue to grow in the future due to the size of the global population and its age composition, General Electric Healthcare (GEH) is trying to capitalize on these trends. It is expanding its operations and development of new drugs and manufacturing of the medical equipment in India and China.

Review the Strayer University Website to find an opportunity to write a FAQ that does not exist but would be useful to an intended audience.
