Now that you have extensively investigated your public health issue, it’s time to apply some of the theories that you’ve been learning to your selected topic. For this week, you must identify at least two theories or theoretical frameworks that can be used to understand your public health issue. After you have selected the theories or frameworks, write a paper in which you examine the theories and apply them to the topic for your final project. In your paper:

Scenario

You have been given the task of effectively communicating the organization’s mission, vision, and values to the new employees in your organization during new employee orientation. You want to make sure that this is something they will not forget soon, as it needs to be in their minds when they are working for the organization.

Task

Based on the scenario, complete the following tasks:

Create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to go along with your oral presentation to the new employees. In your presentation, make sure that you have placed the oral part of the presentation into the Notes area of each slide. This will be your “script.”
In addition, create a handout for the employees in a Microsoft Word document so they have something to take with them to remind them of what they learned.

You have been recently promoted as junior vice president of human resources at your organization. You need to prepare your first presentation on appropriate communication to a group of twenty newly-hired employees for their orientation. The profile of the group is as follows:

There are fifteen entry-level hires with no corporate experience, of which five have no job experience whatsoever.
There are five upper-level hires, of whom three hold higher designations than yours and whose ages range between seventeen to fifty-five years.
Of these twenty, six are Hispanic, two are Asian, two are African-American, and ten are Caucasian.
Sixty percent of the group is women.
There are two disabled employees, one of whom has a hearing disability while the other uses a wheelchair.

Task

Perform an audience analysis while planning your presentation. Ensure that you consider issues such as arrangement of the room, content and length of the presentation, and handouts and visual aids.

Unit VII Essay

Explain one of the notable pre-war era politicians or social figures addressed in the lecture, and assume their position and beliefs. After introducing yourself as your selected figure, choose two issues of note presented in this unit (1820-1861), and provide two separate editorial responses (minimum of 250 words for each issue) that you feel best represents your chosen figure’s perspective during this period. Both responses will be submitted together as one document.

It will be a problem with at least three (3) constraints and at least two (2) decision variables. The problem will be bounded and feasible. It will also have a single optimum solution (in other words, it won’t have alternate optimal solutions). The problem will also include a component that involves sensitivity analysis and the use of the shadow price.

You will be turning in two (2) deliverables, a short writeup of the project and the spreadsheet showing your work.

Writeup.

Your writeup should introduce your solution to the project by describing the problem. Correctly identify what type of problem this is. For example, you should note if the problem is a maximization or minimization problem, as well as identify the resources that constrain the solution. Identify each variable and explain the criteria involved in setting up the model. This should be encapsulated in one (1) or two (2) succinct paragraphs.

After the introductory paragraph, write out the L.P. model for the problem. Include the objective function and all constraints, including any non-negativity constraints. Then, you should present the optimal solution, based on your work in Excel. Explain what the results mean.

Finally, write a paragraph addressing the part of the problem pertaining to sensitivity analysis and shadow price.

Write a minimum 4 page report explaining the results from your analysis of the ROI of Business Majors and Engineering Majors. Use your results from each week’s assignment to make this report.

This report should include:

A detailed description of the data used in this analysis – specifically explain what the data in each column represents.

A detailed explanation of any information learned about:
School Type for each major;
The Cost for each major;
The 30 Year ROI for each major;
The Annual % ROI for each major.
Explanations should be supported with the results obtained from your work in previous weeks.

Finally, answer the following questions and support your answer with your results.
Does there appear to be a particular major that gives a better ROI? Why or Why not?
Given that we are using statistical inference to make our conclusions, is it guaranteed that the major you choose that gave a better ROI for this sample will always have a better ROI than the other major? Explain your reasoning
