1. Write a 1,200-word research paper (or argumentative paper) on a building, architect, or architectural style from the 20th century. You should consult three sources (at least one of them scholarly) for this assignment.
2. Write a manifesto and description of the meaning of this manifesto. You may create a new architectural movement or call to action. Look at other manifestos (Conrad) to see how they are structured. If you choose this option, the description should be at least 800 of the 1,200 words. You do not need to include consult any sources for this assignment.
3. Create a guided tour, brochure, or catalog for a 20th century building. The written component must still be 1,200 words, but it may be broken up as necessary. This assignment has a visual component (the brochure, etc.).
4. Design a form of visionary architecture. Include with your design a 1,200-word description of your building’s purpose, antecedents, and features. You do not need to consult any outside sources for this assignment.
