The Programs in Language, Culture and Professional Advancement is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2016.

The Programs in Language, Culture and Professional Advancement is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2016. For 10 years, the department has dedicated itself to instructing and guiding international students on their academic and professional paths by developing their professional and academic English skills and fluency.

The PLCPA is requesting proposals that tell them how they should celebrate their 10th Anniversary. They are looking for creative and thoughtful ideas that both celebrate and effectively represent their program and its achievements, as well as ideas that are practical and stay within their budget constraints. They would also like to publicize the celebration that they will be having to all current students (approximately 328 students) and former PLCPA students (approximately 2635 students).

The celebration can be an event, commemorative item, charity work, or anything that fits the stipulation of the program above. It should also highlight the PLCPA slogan of Make Your Positive Mark on the World.

As well as go to the PLCPA webpage for some background information about the PLCPA program.

The PLCPA, like many other university departments, is bound by a very strict budget. The budget for their Anniversary celebration is only $1,500.00. The PLCPA would like for students proposals to suggest potential sponsorships (local or on-campus) or co-hosts (departments on campus) to share some of the financial cost.

The University will make space on campus available for an event, and can provide only tables and chairs. If students choose to use a space on campus, students must indicate which space and why.
