Hearing the passion from Barbossa about her career in broadcasting inspired me to research even deeper into what broadcasting is all about. This led me to find information on other news analysts; one that I found is named Daniel Schorr. “Daniel Schorr was an American journalist that covered world news for more than 60 years” (Schorr ). To me this means the man must have been passionate about his career in broadcasting. When reading about this man I learned that he worked for CBS and traveled to Moscow during the Cold War, examined communism in East Germany during the time when there was still a wall dividing Germany in two, reported on the Nixon scandal and had close interviews with the FBI, worked for CNN, and appeared as a news caster in three movies. Once I read these things about Schorr I learned that as a broadcasting news analyst a person can have many amazing experiences in their lives, some that other people never get the chance to have. Barbossa even got to meet Michelle Obama, and Ellen DeGeneres, and broadcast from the world trade center. In my career I want to have opportunities like these, I want to be able to learn something from the people I meet and passionately chase information. I think I would be able to do this with a career in broadcasting.
