Assignment:
Select a modern/contemporary piece of furniture and describe in detail how that piece follows the tenets or theory of that style. For example, what makes a specific piece of furniture a good example of Art deco, Art Nouveau, Deconstructivist, British High-Tech, etc. Identify the style, the name of the designer.

Find an example of Mid-Century Modern furniture. Research the history of the chair including why it was designed in the first place. Was it for a specific building perhaps? Name the designer, who manufactured it, and how it might be obtained today if one wanted to buy one. Contact the manufacturer or go to their website and find images, specification sheets, color and fabric options etc.
Requirements:
A minimum of 750 words. You will lose points if there are less.
Use double-spaced, Arial, 11 pt. type.
Use correct grammar and spelling. Both will be graded.
Use correct dates and names of persons and buildings.
