Whilst recognizing that the best way to learn volcanology is through direct field experience, this assessment aims to facilitate engagement with field volcanology. You should prepare an online field guide in PowerPoint to the volcanology of Tenerife, aimed at pre-university students with an A-Level in Geology. The guide should present a rounded introduction to field volcanology (within the constraints of the volcanological features evidenced on Tenerife) and should include:
• descriptions and illustrations (which can be generic) of outcrops and geomorphological features present on Tenerife;
• interpretations of these outcrops and features;
• contextualization of these interpretations within the broader volcanic setting.
You are encouraged to pay careful attention to the organization of the guide in order to tell a coherent story in a logical sequence that maximizes its pedagogical value to the user. The guide should also be user-friendly and you are encouraged to include interactive elements.
