LESSON TOPIC: Stepping Up skill-building program for 6th graders.

 

OBJECTIVES:

MOTIVATION (Building background): Set the introductory screen of the video and ask students to respond in writing whether they agree with this quote, why or why not? (1 min.)

 

PRESENTATION:

·        Watch a video about the program (Video–Hopes, Plans, and Challenges 3:05 min.)

·        Identify our hopes, plans, and challenges for this year

·        Challenge our communication skills with a group activity

·        Identify behaviors that help and don’t help with listening to and respecting each other’s ideas.
