I was asked to write a journal once a week after a screening after lectures:
Focus on screened film and set reading for that week
Develop one topic which interests you in film and text
You may use essay titles and seminar questions for ideas
No need for bibliography
One journal post should be around 150 words

I will attach screenings and readings since it’s a long list and I can’t add that many words.

I paste description of the journal from module study guide:
Your online journal will function as a learning tool throughout the module and as
one of the assessments towards your final mark. It will be readable only to you
and your lecturer and tutor in which respect it bears no comparison with real
world blogging. You should add to it each week. You are required to write an
entry on each film and each set reading.

The online journal should be an archive of your responses to each film and each
set reading. Pick a particular aspect of each and discuss it in your online journal
entry. One way to do this might be to use the essay titles as prompts; another
way might be to use seminar questions as they appear on Blackboard and to pick
out one or two for detailed discussion in your online journal.

For films you might consider using one of the guidelines for the presentation (e.g.
your entry for Sirk might be on the topic of the use of frames in All that Heaven
Allows, or on the symbolism of the deer in the same film). The online journal
does not need to have a bibliography, but use the Harvard referencing system to
indicate your sources if you use more than just the main film and text.
