The purpose of the exams is to evaluate your understanding of course material. Exams will consist of several open-ended questions, each graded on a pass/fail basis. You will have 2 hours from the time you open the exam to complete it. The exams are open-book and open-note. Each question will be evaluated on completeness and evidence that you comprehend important ideas from the course. An average of at least 70% passing answers across both exams is necessary for a C, and an average of at least 80% is necessary for a B or A. See the course outline for exam deadlines.
