Effects of Phosphorous in Brassica rapa Plants

The purpose of this experiment to observe and record the growth of a plant on a phosphorus deficient diet compared to the control on a balanced diet. Phosphorus is an important nutrient in young plants and without it, the plant cannot grow. For this experiment a plant will be grown in phosphorus deficient soil and in nutrient rich soil. By doing this, experimenters will be able to compare the growth of the plants to determine how important phosphorous is to the growth of the plant. The difference between the heights of the plants will show how much a nutrient deficiency can stunt the health and growth of a single plant.
