Section 1; Case Study – The case study will be used to acquaint students with debates, challenges and opportunities of sustainable development for organizations. Organizations might be engaged in a range of sustainability practices, but it might prove difficult to consider the entire enterprise as embracing sustainability. Thus, you will focus upon two aspects of sustainability presented in the lectures and workshops [social, environmental, political, cultural contexts].
The case study draws from differing sources of information in the public domain to investigate a case study – meaning more than their website. It MUST be based on secondary sources, i.e. using newspapers, annual reports and annual reviews, analyst reports and journal articles rather than primary research which would involve actually talking to organizations.
Section B:
Section 2: Case Study Note – The case study notes draws upon:
o Primary evidence from one of the practitioners in the ‘entrepreneuring as practice’ workshops. It will discuss how you might adapt a model discussed by a practitioner in one of these workshops to your case study; and
o Appropriately choosing two relevant theories from alternative approaches to entrepreneurship in the module to address everyday practices.
The case study and case study note complement one another and are to show how practice is informed by theory and robust research.
