Tasks

Respond to the following in a Microsoft Word document in about 700 words:

In Adobe Photoshop, create and submit hair and makeup trend boards reflecting the \”look\” that you choose for the models of the show. In your trend board, include colors that will suit your collection and appeal to your audience. Include at least four images from magazines, Internet, or newspapers to reflect the color palette and look you want to project in your makeup color selection. Provide reasons for including the particular images in the board.
Identify at least three clothing options that the fashion show will showcase. Mention how the clothing you identified will be placed with the hair and makeup decided. Justify your response on the basis of how the clothing, makeup, and hair you suggested will be liked by the audience of the fashion show.

We normally think of currency and banking risks as being something confined to third world or developing countries. But events in the last few years such as the Euro crisis or the financial crisis in the U.S. have shown that not even the wealthy, developed countries are without risks on the financial side. So it is important for any company doing business in your country to carefully consider these risks that they face.

After you’ve done some research about financial issues in your country, write a two to three page paper covering the following issues:

The currency of your country. Is it stable? Does your country have fixed or floating exchange rates? Does the exchange rate fluctuate a lot?
The banking system in your country. How safe is this system? Any recent banking crisis in your country?
Overall does the financial system in your country make it easy or difficult to do business? What kind of steps would you recommend for a company doing business in your country to hedge or minimize their financial risks? Refer to at least one of the required readings from the background materials in your answer.

You will write a semi-formal investigative report (WRTGR, page 73-79). Follow the book\’s guidelines, but make your subheadings as specific as possible, and write with your specific rhetorical situation in mind.

THE TASK
Choose a specific technical/scientific problem. Consider a problem you would like to work on regarding your field of study, at your workplace, or hobby you might have that is of a technical nature. Choose something you are interested in and can learn something from! Your problem must be real, but for the report you may adopt a made-up identity. It is best that you assume the identity of an expert investigator even if you aren\’t one in real life.

THE PLAN
After you submit your plan and get approval (see Discussion 3 link below), conduct your investigation and write your report.

THE REPORT
You should end up with 2 or 3 pages, focused, organized, edited. Write and revise with your situation (author, audience, report purpose) in mind. Graphics are not required, but consider using them, and if you do, integrate them smoothly into the report, use labels, and give credit if images are borrowed.

THE GRADE
Your report itself will be evaluated on: detail, organization, tone, clarity, document design, mechanics (grammar and spelling), graphics (if used), and, most importantly, how well you suit the report to the specific situation. In fact, all of these items depend on your situation. For example, level of detail depends on what your particular audience needs to know (or doesn\’t know already). So it is imperative that you have a specific situation and consider it throughout. It is just as imperative that you make it clear in the report what your author-identity is, who your audience is, and why the report is being written. Oh, and don\’t forget page numbers. The report should be between 2 – 3 pages (approximately).
