Analyze and Evaluate the Global Operations Management of AIRBUS
1) An analysis of type of operations carried out and operating processes (i.e., project, batch, mass, professional service, service shop, mass service, etc.)
2) An identification and evaluation of the major strengths and weaknesses of the Operations Function in the organisation. (You should use a framework such as Slack’s 5 performance objectives. Consideration must be given to the customers view, i.e. order winners and order qualifiers. You may need to benchmark to evaluate if a feature is a strength).
3) Your view of the extent to which the operations function supports the broader Business Strategy of the organization from a global perspective.
4) Your recommendations for improving the operations function, whilst leaving the broader business policy unchanged. Weaknesses from section 2 would normally be the subject of improvement recommendations. Your recommendations should have sufficient detail that their feasibility could result in an MD approving implementation.
Possible ideas:
A. All should include a general ethogram for your animals as the behavior is new for you. But then you might want to focus on a particular behavior. Remember that a reasonable expectation is that you would spend a minimum of 20 hours observing the animals for both the ethogram and any specialized aspect of the behavior you might choose to pursue. Note that the topics are those that can be readily observed.
Foraging behavior of squirrels
Dominance interactions in cockroaches
Mating behavior in mice
Species interactions among birds at a bird feeder
Territorial behavior in cichlid fish
Play behavior in dogs/ gerbils/other pet (caution: avoid being anthropomorphic)
B. You should think carefully about your topic and start researching it early enough that you can get good solid articles that support a coherent topic. Avoid just describing the behavior of an animal group. Choose a more interesting topic.
Evolution of chemical communication in rodents/other group
Parental behavior and why some species have male, some have female and some have both male and female involvement
Honest signaling
Mating systems and the relationship to major groups or ecology
Evolution of eusocial behavior
Regulation of rhythmic behavior in birds
