For your first writing assignment, you will be writing an essay on the experiences of Africans within the Atlantic/African Slave Trade. You will be comparing/contrasting three different African experiences using the primary materials available on Blackboard, Roots and the clip from the film Amistad. The examples you include must involve the Africans facing different experiences within the slave trade for your comparison. Be as specific as you can and include as many key terms from the lecture.

Content and “Y” (Multi-Cultural) Requirements:
• You will need to prepare thoughtful and well-reasoned response. The materials you will need to prepare your essay will come from the assigned films/clips, as well as lectures and readings posted on Blackboard. In other words, you must use class lectures to support your paper, but you must also be able to demonstrate your familiarity with the clips/films and readings when you write your paper.

• The examples you include must involve the Africans facing different experiences within the slave trade. You must include at least three different examples from the clips/films watched for class and the readings posted on Blackboard.

You will need to critically analyse a Corporate Crime issue in your Research Paper. You are expected to select a topic which can be phrased as a question, and provide an answer to that question in your Research Paper. Your Research Paper must present an argument, and must not merely be descriptive, or a summary of the ideas of others.

Objective

This task is aimed at realizing the complexity (depth and breadth) of ERP solutions.

Description

Each student is expected to select one ERP module, study it carefully, conduct research on it and present it in the class. The work you are expected to do includes:

Theoretical (5 scores)

Understanding the business function covered by the module

Presenting how this function is served by at least 3 different ERP packages(ex: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft…etc), and how they differ

Practical (5 scores)

Trying to find and assess a real-life implementation of this module (authentication is important).

Trying to find and present an open-source software (ERP) module to automate this function
