Question of a need to focus on skills based teaching as opposed to the standards based approach
Paper details

The group will consist of 4 teachers and 1st grade students from each class. There will be a total of 37 students in the target group; 29 of the students are African American and 8 are ELL student with home languages of Haitian Creole, Spanish and Zulu. All students attended Kindergarten at this facility. This is of relevance because my question is related to the implementation of the Common Core State Standards (Florida Standards) and how teachers view their methods of educating the whole child. All students have only been taught utilizing the Florida Standards.
This leads to a question of a need to focus on skills based teaching as opposed to the standards based approach currently adopted by the school district.

Servant Leadership
In James Hunter’s The World’s Most Powerful Leadership Principle, he provides insight into the world of leadership and how leaders are supposed to be, both as a person and a figure of authority. This insight is drawn from his experience of more than two decades in the American corporate sector. He lays great emphasis in servant leadership because, according to him, it is the most powerful way of achieving success in being a leader. I have been working as a Practice Manager at the UCF Community Care Center. During the short practice period, I have found myself in situations where my I have had to perform my roles and responsibilities as a leader at the center. This essay will relate the principles of servant leadership as described by Hunter to my work experience as a Practice Manager. It will try to show how these principles may have influenced some of the decisions I made as a leader.
