Case Studies
Choose one (1) of the following cases.
Each case has been adapted to fit with the weekly learning activities for this course. Submission dates correspond with the learning/ study plan for the course and meet the broad objectives for the course. You will note a page number reference to the set text Moyle et al. 2014. The original source/ chapters in which the case studies are situated can be found in your set text. You are advised to review the relevant set text chapter(s) in detail in conjunction with the attached case study outline and marking guide.

The cases are as follows:
• Resilience alongside frailty (Moyle et al. p. 91)
• A strengths-based approach to pain (Moyle et al. p, 200)

• Family involvement in care (Moyle et al., p, 131)

• A strengths-based approach to palliative care (Moyle et al. p,162)

Cain’s Double Indemnity is one of the classics of hardboiled crime fiction. It also supplied the story for one of the essential film noirs, Billy Wilder’s Double Indemnity (1944). In a short reaction paper  describe how the film adapts the novel. Be sure to describe the voice of the narrator—his “voice-over” narration set the pattern for noir storytelling. Although the names are changed, the film is basically faithful to the novel until the ending. Describe the ending of the novel and how the film changes it.

The Research Methods written assignment requires you to present a research justification for the topic of your choice. It needs to be ‘literature informed’, which means that you need to provide sources and evidence for any arguments, discussions or understandings that you present.

Every year the Office for National Statistics carries out an investigation about the level of
“happiness” in the United Kingdom. The 2013/14 report, entitled “Personal Well-Being Across

You have been hired by the Mayor of London to carry out a similar investigation but with a particular focus on people living and/or working in London. In particular, you have been askedto 1) investigate the level of happiness of Londoners and 2) determine the proportion of
