• In terms of written organization, use both headings and subheadings, taken from the directions of the assignment each week, to ensure all topic areas in the assignment are addressed. Hereafter and going forward please use both headings and subheadings to better organize your writing. Below is an example from an assignment with 3 ideas to elaborate upon in the assignment directions. Please be sure that all ideas in the assignment and discussion post directions are addressed and elaborated upon.
This is accomplished by developing an outline, to include the main components in the assignment / discussion directions, prior to writing your papers. The steps to ensure written organization are to:
1. Make the outline based on the assignment directions (see example below)
2. Write the paper using analysis and synthesis
3. Then edit the paper yourself (it also helps to have a family member, friend, or colleague preferably one that has little or no knowledge of the subject area to read the paper for idea clarity)

After reading the “First day in Fallujah” by Brian Healy.
He described his first day in Fallujah as an horrible day. He was in Iraq for five months before he was told that they would been going to Fallujah, he was naive because of his past experience. The following morning, he heard the voice of the commander, ” mount up” then they boarded the Amtrak transport. He heard the sound of the metal hitting metal as the ramp closed and sealed them in. The smell from the diesel fumes choked their lungs and burned their throats. On getting there, he saw the dead bodies of the enemies hitted with the bombs, their bodies were seperated about in a frenzied manner. When they came to the center of the city it was very easy but, the enemies fought them in an endless cycle of attack and retreat. They fought them with rocket-proelled grenades, bullets and when they kill one, another would pop up until the sun fell behind the horizon and the could not see any of the enemies again. When it was night for him to sleep, he could not sleep because his ear were still ringing for the day event, he imagined the firefight of the battle, the machine gun fire tracer rounds.
At the very end of his narrative, Healy refers to people who “know nothing of war but would call these men terrorists.” cWhite an essay that considers the value of reading accounts such as Healy’s: Do they help us”Know”war, Did his essay change the way you understand soldiers, combat, and war, generally? 5 Paragraph.
