Technology is changing and evolving. Identify some of the major issues in the adoption of these technologies that have been discussed in the paper.
Emerging technologies bring about rapid changes in health care. How we use that technology is important to improve the healthcare information systems that are adopted and developed.
Hospitals and doctors’ offices rely on these new technologies to help improve work processes and to address the ongoing compliance changes that are introduced over time.
Imagine you are working in the IT department at a hospital, and you have been tasked to research new and developing technologies for possible adoption. You should discuss their use in your paper, as well as some of the major issues involved with new technology adoption.

The first sentence should state the topic you selected.

You have been asked to address the possibility of a 50-hour mandatory service requirement for college students. You have been assigned to research this issue and write a 3 to 5 page typed, double-spaced paper demonstrating your findings. Based on your last name, you have been assigned your position. This may require you to argue a position you do not personally hold. Read the paper in your textbook on pages 83 through 89, as well as the article on pages 91 through 97, to begin your research. Then, expand your research to include other sources. You must cite 3 sources for full credit on your paper.

The Industrial Revolution, which began in the eighteenth century, has had an ongoing influence on society as well as the relationship between humans and their environment. With the onset of industrialization came the drastic increase in urbanization, setting up of factories in places which were once biomes, and the rapid development of land. All this occurred without assessing the long-term impact to the environment. Recognizing the importance of the Industrial Revolution era and the ongoing impact it has had on the environment is essential to learning how to help the environment and correct the damage of that era.
• Identify three of the most environmentally negative impacts of the Industrial Revolution and justify your choices. For example, the invention of the automobile revolutionized travel in a positive manner. However, this invention is causing some of the biggest environmental problems as a result of the extensive use of oil extracted from the earth.
• Examine how these three negative impacts changed the environment; list the mechanisms through which this happened. For example, factories caused an increase in pollution through the release of toxic waste, which led to diminished and lost fish populations in rivers.
• Explain the effect of the environmental movement on the process of industrialization in the United States during the 1970s.
• Identify the laws passed to help ameliorate the environmental issues in the U.S. or around the world related to these three impacts. Have any laws been passed since this movement in the 1970s? If there have been laws implemented, summarize the spirit of the law and comment on the effectiveness of the law.
Based on your research, examine whether the state of the environment has become worse or has improved as a result of these laws. If you think conditions have not improved, suggest solutions or steps that must be done to improve the situation.

Provide a personal statement in support of your application for the MA Linguistics and English Language Teaching programme? • Final Project
For your Final Project, you will write a 4 page theory paper articulating your couple/family theoretical orientation. Your paper must include the following elements that evolve from your personal theoretical orientation:

• The basic view of human nature as seen through your theoretical lens

• Key factors that account for changes in behavior

• An explanation of how intervention strategies are designed within this theoretical orientation

• An explanation of how your theory conceptualizes mental health

• Key factors that contribute to healthy family/couple relationships

• A description of the counseling process within this theoretical orientation (include the key goals of marriage, couple, and family counseling)

• The techniques used across the counseling process

• The nature of the counselor-client relationship and its relative importance

• The role of the marriage, couple, and family counselor

• An explanation of the relationship between your individual theory and your couple/family theory (include ways in which your individual theory and your couple/family theory are congruent)

• An explanation of the particular techniques and procedures of your approach (note specific populations or client issues best suited for this approach, as well as those least suited for this approach)

• Based on your couple/family theory, develop a primary intervention program for an area of need in your community or professional area of interest (include the purpose of the program, client population, and four major characteristics of the program that would contribute to its effectiveness)

Your paper should be related to issues discussed in class, within our textbook, which must be cited as on of your references. Sample topics might include: why team-based rewards should be used instead of individual rewards, or why workplace diversity requires a change in the way the company socializes newcomers, why assigning mentors works less well than supporting junior workers efforts to network to senior colleagues.

Keep in mind that many bosses, yours included, may have little professional management training and even less knowledge of social science, so you need to explain the concepts.

Criteria for evaluating your paper will be based on 1) how effectively you marshal the best scientific evidence to make your case, 2) the extent you have made your case in a strong, truthful, and convincing manner, and 3) how well you use facts about the particular organization (again, real or hypothetical) to help you make your case (i.e. case facts).

Remember, evidence-based research includes: meta-analysis of research studies, systematic reviews of research articles, well-controlled longitudinal field studies or randomized controlled interventions, quasi-experimental studies, and cross-sectional studies, or scientific case or narrative studies. Be sure to compare your research to the textual information on your topic.

Disaster Preparedness Assignment

1. Select a vulnerable population in your community (this could be the population at an elementary school, population at a homeless shelter, residents at a long-term care facility, etc.). Describe the population and explain why you have chosen it. Explain its location in the community and the community at large.

2. Describe the special needs of the group in the event of a disasterPeople with dementia are especially vulnerable to chaos and emotional trauma.
•They have a limited ability to understand (depending on stage of illness)
•They may ask repeatedly about the situation.
•Inform others of the PWD’s condition
–Cognitive, mobility and sensory changes will affect the ability of the person with dementia to cooperate and to understand what is happening.

3. Identify the resources in your community to meets this group’s needs.

4. Identify the gaps in service between the needs and the resources.

5. Explain the role of the PHN in meeting these needs. Support your ideas with at least one article from a peer reviewed nursing journal.
