Cronbach’s Alpha
This week, you have learned about how to use Cronbach’s alpha as a measure of scale reliability. In this Application, you will calculate Cronbach’s alpha for provided data.
To prepare for this Application:
•Review pp. 706–711 of the Field text for a description of using Cronbach’s alpha to measure scale reliability.
•Review Chapter 5 from the APA manual, “Displaying Results.”
This assignment contains two (2) deliverables: a summary document to be delivered in a word processor document format and a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to be delivered in a project file.
Overview
As the project manager for an IT department, you have been assigned to manage the project of deploying a new VoIP phone system to the company’s campus. The campus consists of three (3) different buildings, each with twenty to fifty (20 to 50) workstations. The project must be completed in ninety (90) calendar days starting on November 1.
Deliverable 1: Summary (MS Word or open source equivalent)
1. Write a one to two (1-2) page summary document in which you:
a. Summarize the project requirements and other assumptions (e.g., budget, human resources, workload, environmental dependencies, etc.).
b. Define a work breakdown structure and describe the methodology behind constructing one.
Deliverable 2: WBS (MS Project or open source equivalent)
2. Use Microsoft Project to create a WBS which:
a. Contains at least five (5) main tasks, one for each of the PMBOK® process areas.
b. Contains at least sixty (60) line items distributed in ten (10) or more work packages.
c. Contains Work Breakdown Structure Code for each task.
d. Presents a duration estimate for each task which results in a duration estimate for the project not to exceed the requirements described in the overview.
In this assignment, you will take a look at the scientific method. You will design a (fictional) scientific study to answer a specific question based upon an observation.

Observation: During the winter, you spread salt daily on your driveway to melt the snow. In the springtime, when the lawn begins to grow, you notice that there is no grass growing for about 3 inches from the driveway. Furthermore, the grass seems to be growing more slowly up to about 1 foot from the driveway.
Question: Might grass growth be inhibited by salt?

Negotiation, Ethics and Effective Leadership
The purpose of this assignment is to examine the relationship between negotiation, ethics, and effective leadership.
Use the Argosy University online resources or other credible sources on the Internet to locate and explore examples of President Obama’s negotiation and leadership skills with Iranian leaders in 2009. Evaluate how effective or ineffective his skills are in regard to U.S. relations with Iran and complete the following tasks:

Case Study One:
Chris, Matt, and Ian, who live in California, have decided to start a business selling an aftershave lotion called Funny Face over the internet. They contract with Novelty Now Inc., a company based in Florida, to manufacture and distribute the product. Chris frequently meets with a representative from Novelty Now to design the product and to plan marketing and distribution strategies. In fact, to increase the profit margin, Chris directs Novelty Now to substitute PYR (a low-cost chemical emulsifier) for the compound in Novelty Now’s original formula. PYR is not FDA approved. Funny Face is marketed nationally on the radio and in newspapers, as well as on the web and Facebook. Donald Margolin, a successful CEO and public speaker, buys one bottle of Funny Face over the internet. After he uses it once, his face turns a permanent shade of blue. Donald Margolin and his company, Donald Margolin Empire Inc., file suit in the state of New York against Novelty Now Inc. and Chris, Matt, and Ian, alleging negligence and seeking medical costs and compensation for the damage to his face and business reputation. It is discovered that PYR caused Margolin’s skin discoloration. The website for Funny Face states that anyone buying their product cannot take Chris, Matt, and Ian to court. Novelty Now’s contract with the three men states that all disputes must be brought in the state of Florida.
Specifically, the followingcritical elementsmust be addressed: .
A:Apply therules of jurisdiction to the facts of this case and determine what jurisdiction(s) would be appropriate for Margolin’s lawsuit against Funny Face

Primary Task Response: Have you ever attended a play or musical? Do you frequently watch television programs or movies? Nowadays, drama is more popular in American culture than ever before. Yet what some forget is that it is a literary art form crafted by playwrights, TV and comedy writers, and Hollywood screenwriters.
