Assignment 5: Persuasive Paper Part 3: Possible Disadvantages, Answers, with Visuals

Using feedback from your professor and classmates, revise Parts 1 and 2, and add Part 3. Plan to include visuals to illustrate the advantages of your proposed solution.

Write an eight to ten (8-10) page paper in which you:

Provide Part I: Revision of A Problem Exists (3-4 pages)

Develop Part 3: Possible Disadvantages, Answers, with Visuals (1-2 pages, for 7-9 total pages)

3. Included a defensible, relevant thesis statement in the first paragraph.

4. State, explain, and support the first disadvantage (economic, social, political, environmental, social, equitable, ethical/moral, etc.) to your solution and provide a logical answer. This should be one (1) paragraph.

5. State, explain, and support the second (and third if desired) disadvantage (economic, social, political, environmental, social, equitable, ethical/moral, etc.) to your solution and provide a logical answer. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.

6. Include one or two (1-2) relevant visuals that help illustrate an advantage.

7. Use effective transitional words, phrases, and sentences.

8. Provide a concluding paragraph to summarize the proposed solution, its advantages, possible disadvantages, and answers to the disadvantages. Repeat or paraphrase your thesis statement.

9. Develop a coherently structured paper with an introduction, body, and conclusion.

10. Use one (1) or more rhetorical strategy (ethos, logos, pathos) to explain claims.

11. Support disadvantages and answers with at least two (2) additional quality relevant references. Use at least eight (8) total for Parts 1, 2, and 3. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Project Schedule and Budget

A project plan cannot be considered complete until the resources have been assigned (including budget and cost estimate). This week, you will assign the resources required to work on your project to your scheduled tasks. In addition, you will add the cost of the resources per hour and any direct or indirect cost required for project contracts, materials, or supplies.

You will submit a two-part summary report (business professional format) of your project budget and resources, which includes the following:

Part 1: Project Budget (Cost Management)

Explain your approach to estimating the project cost (e.g., top down, bottom up, etc.) and why that method was chosen.
Create a table that shows the original budgeted cost (from the charter) and the actual budgeted cost (side by side). Include line items for labor, materials, contract, equipment, travel cost, and so on.
Compare the budget from the charter to the final budget and explain any variances that occurred from your original budgeted cost in the project charter and the current project cost (include your original estimated cost for the project).
Explain your budget contingency plan and how much is budgeted for contingency.

Part 2: Resource Management

Explain the results of your resource assignments. Did you assign enough people to the project? Were there any resources over-allocated? What approach will you take to fix any allocation problems?
Develop a plan to manage your project team and define how you will motivate your team and how you will handle team conflicts.
What structure would you select for your project: functional, weak matrix, balanced matrix, strong matrix, or pure project? Why?

competition. Based on this analysis, what are your expectations about the industry’s profitability

in the short run (1 or 2 years) and the long run (5 to 10 years)?

5. Using Standard and Poor’s Analysts’ Handbook or another source, plot the latest 10-year

history of the operating profit margin for the S&P Industrials Index or another aggregate

market series versus an industry of your choice. Is there a positive, negative, or zero

correlation?

7. Prepare a table listing the variables that influence the earnings multiplier for your chosen

industry and the market index series for the most recent 10 years.

a. Do the average dividend-payout ratios for your industry and the market index differ?

How should the dividend payout influence the difference between the multipliers?

b. Based on the fundamental factors, would you expect the risk for this industry to differ

from that for the market? In what direction, and why? Calculate the industry beta

using monthly data for five years. Based on the fundamental factors and the computed

systematic risk, how does this industry’s risk compare to the market? What effect will

this difference in risk have on the industry multiplier relative to the market multiplier?

c. Analyze and discuss the different components of growth (retention rate, total asset

turnover, total assets/equity, and profit margin) for your chosen industry and a market

index during the most recent 10 years. Based on this analysis, how would you expect

the growth rate for your industry to compare with the growth rate for the market index?

How would this difference in expected growth affect the multiplier?

• Take a stance on a current issue in Early Childhood Education and support this stance with research on best practices.

To prepare for taking a stance on this issues debate, you will be discussing topics and ethical dilemmas in several of the lesson discussion boards. Assignment 3: Legal Ethics, Patients’ Rights, and HIV / AIDS

As the head health care administrator at USA Community Hospital, you are required to review compliance reports on issues relating to the ethical conduct of the professional staff at your hospital, patient review registries, and standard procedures surrounding the ethical treatment of patients with HIV / AIDS. Intermittently, complaints surface from patients with HIV / AIDS concerned with ethical treatment and denial of services.

Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

Devise a plan to investigate the validity of patients’ claims of denial of services. This plan should include, but not be limited to, establishing mechanisms to address service denial claims, a human resources component, and a review of related policies and procedures.
