Safety Handbook

As a safety professional, you have been asked to create a handbook explaining the various types of biological agents employees may have contact with in the workplace. In addition, you have been asked to include information regarding the basic exposure mechanisms for biological agents, methods of evaluation and control for biological agents, and methods of sampling for biological agents. You may use the training topics discussed on pages 128-129 of your textbook as a guide. Also, please feel free to use the CSU online library to locate additional information that you feel should be included in your handbook.

Research air power pioneers and write an essay about one of them.

Generals Billy Mitchell, Curtis LeMay, and Hap Arnold were three of the pioneers of the United States Air Force. Using the index in your textbook, find and read the paragraphs discussing their role in building American air power. Using standard Web search engines, Hunt Library for ERAU Worldwide (Links to an external site.) resources, etc., do some independent research on the three men. Write a short (approximately 300-word) essay describing the career of one of them and how he contributed to military aviation.

Use word-processing software to create your short essay document. Written assignment paper formatting requirements are: Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced. Include a title page containing the activity title and your name. All sources should be cited using the American Psychological Association (APA) (Links to an external site.) style and format. Papers must be grammatically sound and free of spelling errors. See the Resources area for helpful writing skills websites.

Your final project for each week in this course will require you to examine this organization.

Research your chosen company. Find a minimum of one library source, which will support your thesis in this assignment. Review your assigned weekly lecture and text reading. Select from this reading 3-5 key concepts, which will also support your thesis. In a two to three page paper, address the questions below. Your paper should follow APA format including a title and reference page. The two to three page paper length requirement does NOT include the title page and reference page. Refer to your classroom area titled South University Policies and Guideline: Using APA Standards in Your Coursework to ensure you are following the correct format.

Managers have the responsibility to oversee and influence the direction of an organization. Their input is critical to an organization’s performance and success. Describe the manager’s functional role in the organization. Explain expectations of the role. Evaluate how the manager fulfills the expectations of the role.
