There are several strategies that can help you improve your professional presentation skills and telephone skills. Choose any of the strategies that you think are important for enhancing your oral communication skills when delivering presentations or when communicating via telephone. Explain why you chose the specific technique(s) and why it is important in your current profession or in another type of organization. Predict negative consequences that could occur if you do not apply your chosen concept(s). Support your viewpoint and provide examples.Your response should be at least 200 words in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.

Obesity in America is considered an epidemic. There are many contributing factors to obesity (both childhood and adult), such as biological, environmental, social, or economic factors. Review the information on obesity on pages 383 to 385 in the textbook. You may also use the Internet or Strayer Library to research obesity and its causes.

Write a one to two page (1-2) page essay in which you:

Describe the effect that obesity (childhood and / or adult) has had on you personally or your community.
Select one (1) contributing factor to childhood or adult obesity. Recommend two (2) preventative measures related to the selected factor that people can take in order to reduce their chance of becoming obese.
Discuss one (1) sociological theory that relates to the selected contributing factor to obesity.

Hints: Consider whether you will rent or buy your facilities or outsource production to an existing company.
Hints: One of your biggest expenses as a startup non-alcoholic beverage company will be transitioning from a small batch prototype of your beverage to production on a large scale. Research the equipment you will need (vats, refrigerators, burners, ovens, bottling equipment, and so on), whether you will rent or buy, how you will maintain and clean it, and so forth. Consider how you will ensure quality control. What capacity do you intend to reach?
Hints: Deliberate your inventory control. Where do your supplies come from and what is your turnaround time to produce your beverage once you have received an order?

Create a technology plan for your NAB company using the template in the text as a guide (p. 227 | Technology Plan Preparation Form ). Extract appropriate information from the NAB Company portfolio, where applicable. Other required items in the template should be filled in using your personal preferences.
Provide a rationale for the personnel needs section by incorporating appropriate functional-level strategies.
Hints: Consider the type of technology your company will use to conduct the following activities: manage personnel; take, fulfill, and track orders; manage inventory; communicate with customers and provide customer service; and produce your beverage.

You are the vice president of Human Resources at Community State University. The president of the university has just informed you that the Maintenance Department is experiencing a high turnover rate in addition to an increase in disciplinary actions.

You have been asked to research the use of better recruitment practices and a formal disciplinary model to address the increased turnover and disciplinary issues in the maintenance department.

Begin your paper by summarizing the applicable HR laws, theories and issues that you have studied so far in the class that might apply to the case.
