Security Policies and Procedures.

I have IT security policy course, I need one of your expersts to help me with it.

I have provided the instructions on the assignment document.

The book we are using for this course is Greene, Sari. 2006. Security Policies and Procedures: Principles and Practices (Paperback). Publisher: Pearson Prentice Hall. ISBN-0-13-186691-5

Mention each spreadsheet, specifically, and indicate how the purchase of these new assets and investments will affect your prior plan submitted during Modules Three and Five.

Your final project is a completed personal financial plan that integrates your previous financial plan submissions from Modules Three and Five, as well as retirement planning and funding of your needs through investments in mutual funds or equities. This last assignment requires you to once again revise your personal financial plan to reflect your cumulative learning in the course.

Now that you have expanded your knowledge regarding long-term, asset purchase planning and short-term planning, as well as retirement planning, do you have any concerns regarding health? How would these change your financial plan?

Retirement Planning: Complete the attached spreadsheet (s) (which accompany your textbook). The first entails planning for retirement. You will likely identify a gap between your personal financial goals for a home, vehicle, and retirement planning versus the availability of your present resources. The objective is to develop an investment strategy, as a suggestion, with stocks of your choosing and/or mutual funds that support your future financial needs.

Develop stock investment portfolio: Select five key stocks and determine their expected return from finance.yahoo.com. Presume you would invest 20% equally in these stocks and average the return. Calculate how much you would have to deposit each year until retirement to fund all of your initiatives assuming the rate of return on these equities is constant.

Review the amount you currently are able to set aside for this purpose. If you still identify a gap, identify how you will mitigate that risk of realizing the appropriate amount of wealth to support your personal initiatives and expectations. Propose a plan and describe your personal alternatives for bridging this gap.

Submit the completed spreadsheets to your instructor. In the Personal Financial Goals document, summarize and describe your intentions. Mention each spreadsheet, specifically, and indicate how the purchase of these new assets and investments will affect your prior plan submitted during Modules Three and Five. Describe your opportunities and challenges. Will you have to make changes? Indicate how you might revise your plans.

Note: If you do not wish to disclose personal financial information to your instructor, please note to change your information or provide an alternative name with the information realistically portrayed. In doing so, the experience of preparing a financial plan for another individual will prepare you to accurately complete your own plan when you are ready. Also, do not disclose the information of an individual other than yourself; remember to keep private

Explain the technique you identify, and give an example of how it is used in the manufacturing, retail, and health care industries.

As the company prepares to meet demand and capacity requirements for its planned future growth, you have been asked to review the current forecasting strategy and help implement a new strategic plan for forecasting demand. The new forecasting plan ties directly to the overall strategic planning methodology established by the company. The company historically has used a time series method. The forecasting methods under consideration are the following:

  • Qualitative: human judgment, usually best used when little data is available
  • Simulation: the use of computer models or judgment to imitate customer behavior
  • Causal: used when there is a direct tie between demand and an environmental factor, such as cold weather
  • Time series: the use of historical data to predict future needs

Using research, complete the following:

  • Identify which forecasting technique or multiple techniques should be used in the future for the company’s strategy. Are there other techniques available that are not listed above?
  • Explain the technique you identify, and give an example of how it is used in the manufacturing, retail, and health care industries.
  • Detail if 1 of the 4 techniques listed above should NOT be used and why.
  • Evaluate the significance of forecasting error for the technique or techniques you have selected. What is the impact of error on your chosen technique?

Explain the potential personal liability to Acme Fireworks if a spectator is injured by a stray firework from a fireworks display.

You are the manager of Acme Fireworks, a fireworks retailer who sells fireworks, puts on ground display fireworks, and large aerial display fireworks. The company started in the owner’s garage two years ago and now has 15 employees that you manage. The company started as a sole proprietorship, and the owner has never changed the entity. The owner has informed you that the company has received inquiries from several large businesses wondering if the company could create several fireworks displays on a regular basis. The owner told the inquirers that the company could fill such display orders, and a price per display was agreed upon. It was discussed that most of the cost for a fireworks display is for skilled labor, insurance, and the actual service of setting off the fireworks. No other details were discussed. The owner is anticipating that new employees will need to be hired, but he is worried that if the large orders for fireworks displays do not continue, the company will not have the funds to pay the new employees. The owner is now considering changing the business entity, but he does not know what entity to form or how to form it.

The owner has asked you to do the following:

  • Determine if the contracts with the businesses will be governed by common law or the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and explain why.
  • Analyze whether the owner formed a contract with the businesses, and apply the five essential elements of an enforceable contract.
  • Explain the potential personal liability to Acme Fireworks if a spectator is injured by a stray firework from a fireworks display.
  • Discuss the different employment types and relationships relevant to agency law, and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each type specific to Acme Fireworks.
  • Explain why Acme Fireworks should not operate as a sole proprietorship. Recommend a new business entity, and provide rationale to support your recommendation.

For each task, be sure to analyze the relevant law, apply the facts to the law, and make a conclusion.

Discuss any issues you would likely encounter if you were to merge the PTO system to a traditional leave system.

PTO policies have become good tools for HR staff to use in terms of organizational incentives.

While reviewing the information from the two merged companies, the HR Director has found out that each company has two different PTO policies.

Company A has a PTO system in which employees are given 30 days of paid time off each year, which accumulates at the rate of 2.5 days a month. Under this policy, vacation and sick leave are all rolled into one paid leave and any absence whether scheduled, such as vacation, or unscheduled, such as sick leave, are taken from the accumulated leave the employee has earned.

Company B has a more traditional leave system in which employees are given 12 days of vacation, 10 days of sick leave and 10 holidays. The company is closed on those holidays. Vacation is accumulated at a day per month. Sick leave has an unlimited accumulation, but unlike vacation would not be paid out upon termination of employment.

Since the employees of the merged company will be working side by side, the HR Director has asked you to review the situation and make recommendations for a solution.

Instructions:

As an HR Director prepare a report addressing the following issues:

  • Identify any additional information you would need to recommend a solution, and explain where you would likely find that information.
  • Discuss any issues you would likely encounter if you were to merge the PTO system to a traditional leave system. Explain which issues would be difficult to solve and why.
  • Explain any problems you see with leaving the two systems in place, and identify which system would be assigned for new employees.
  • Make a recommendation for one common PTO system. Explain your system and why you think this system is the best system for the company.

Include two to three scholarly references in your response.

Write a five-to-seven-page memo to the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Apply APA standards to citation of sources.
