Quarks as fundamental particles

You will need to explain the physics ideas and describe the history, development and application in society of the ideas; its future potential and its impact on scientific thinking.

The format is like any essay introduction, main body (you can have sub-headings here), and a conclusion. You must have in-text referencing as well as a list of references at the end of the essay (use the APA style of referencing). It will be good for you to have diagrams and images to illustrate your points (acknowledge the sources of these images).

Problem:
Gonzales Food Stores, a family-owned grocery store chain headquartered in El Paso, TX, has hired you to make recommendations concerning financing needs for the following two situations.
Stage I: Initial Expansion
Gonzales is a closely held corporation considering a major expansion. The proposed expansion would require the firm to raise $10 million in additional capital. Because Gonzales currently has 50 percent debt and because the family members already have all their funds tied up in the business, the owners cannot supply any additional equity, so the company will have to sell stock to the public. The family wants to ensure that it will retain control of the company. This offering would be Gonzaless first stock sale, and the owners are not sure exactly what would be involved. For this reason, they have asked you to research the process and to help them decide how to raise the needed capital. What is your suggestion for stage I expansion? In doing so, you should answer the following questions:
a. What are the advantages to Gonzales of financing with stock rather than with bonds? What are the disadvantages of using stock?
b. Is the stock of Gonzales Food Stores currently publicly held or privately owned? Would this situation change if the company undertook a stock sale?
c. What is classified stock? Would Gonzales find any advantage in designating the stock currently outstanding as founders shares? What type of common stock should Gonzales sell to the public to allow the family members to retain control of the business?
d. If some members of the Gonzales family wanted to sell some of their own shares to diversify at the same time that the company was selling new shares to raise expansion capital, would this choice be feasible?

Stage II: Subsequent Expansions
A few years after the initial expansion, Gonzales wants to build a plant and finance an operation that would manufacture and distribute its homemade salsa and related products to supermarkets throughout the United States and Mexico. Mr. Gonzales, CEO and family head, has begun planning this venture, even though construction is not expected to begin until the current expansion is complete and the company is financially stable, which might take several years. Even so, Mr. Gonzales has some ideas that he would like you to examine.
The projects estimated cost is $30 million, which will be used to build a manufacturing facility and to set up the necessary distribution system. Gonzales tentatively plans to raise the $30 million by selling 10-year bonds, and its investment bankers have indicated that the firm can use either regular or zero coupon bonds. Regular coupon bonds would sell at par and would have annual payment coupons of 12 percent; zero coupon bonds would also be priced to yield 12 percent annually. Either bond would be callable after three years, on the anniversary date of the issue. What is your suggestion for stage II expansion? In doing so, you should answer the following questions:
a. Suppose Gonzales issues bonds and uses the manufacturing facility (land and buildings) as collateral to secure the issue. What type of bond would this security be? Suppose that instead of using secured bonds, Gonzales decides to sell debentures. How would this choice affect the interest rate that Gonzales would have to pay on the $30 million of debt?
b. What is a bond indenture? What are some typical provisions that the bond- holders would require Gonzales to include in its indenture?
c. Gonzaless bonds will be callable after three years. If the bonds were not callable, would the required interest rate be higher or lower than 12 percent? What would be the effect on the rate if the bonds were callable immediately? What are the advantages to Gonzales of making the bonds callable?
d. What are some factors that a firm such as Gonzales should consider when deciding whether to issue long-term debt, short-term debt, or equity? Why might long-term debt be the companys best choice for this project?

Research Paper, Environmental studies

Project description
The Paris agreement aims to hold global mean temperature (GMT) increase at well below 2C, with efforts to limit warming to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels.
In your report, you will explore how these limits came to be determined, and what are the implications globally of 1.5C and 2C increases in GMT. Your report should discuss the differences, in terms of impacts of these two temperature limits. Under 1.5C and 2C GMT increase scenarios, which countries have the most to loose and which counties might actually benefit? You should also explore the feasibility of limiting GMT increase to 1.5C or 2C.
This is a research report, so you will need to support your arguments with examples from peer reviewed scientific literature. The attached paper by Schleussner et al. (2016) should provide a good starting point for your research. You will also be expected to refer to the most recent IPCC report (AR5) and at least 6 published peer reviewed research articles. Use the Harvard (Author Year) reference style. Figures are encouraged, but no more than 3.
The word limit is 1200, you will be penalised for exceeding the word limit.

Pick at least one of the theoretical frameworks that we discussed in class and apply it to the contemporary family in all its aspects such as dating, cohabitation, marriage, divorce, parenting styles, etc.
Begin your essay by discussing the theoretical framework in general. Your discussion of it should be a combination of class notes, readings from the text, as well as outside sources. o The paper should include your own thoughts or opinions that are supported by the literature. In short, I do not simply want a review of the literature nor do I want you to say something, I am in disagreement with the literature because my experience has been different.

assess sales training needs
set training objectives
evaluate training alternatives
design sales training alternatives
design sales training program
perform sales training
conduct follow up and evaluation

Be sure to identify specific, measurable, and obtainable sales training objectives.
Your process should consist of at least three pages, not counting a title page or reference page Make sure that any sources used, including your textbook, are cited and referenced properly using APA formatting. Outside sources other than your textbook are not required but can add depth to your response.

The textbook is sales management, analysis and decision making 9th edition if needed.

Guidelines for the Two-Part Annotated Bibliography (75 and 125 points): Good annotations make for excellent papers. You are required to annotate two academic scholarly resources in week three and four additional resources in week four for a total of six. A scholarly resource is written by an academic scholar, holding a Ph.D. or other terminal degree, is published in a multi-volume, peer-reviewed journal, and has ample references of its own. Successful annotations begin with your introduction (to the best extent you know it at that point in time), capture publication details, briefly summarize a text, locate key terms, find controversies to analyze and evaluate, and assist in the creation of new knowledge.
In week three you have two annotations due, and in week four, you have four annotations due. Each of your annotations should be approximately 200250 words.
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 200-250 words) desrptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.

MUST BE IN APA FORMAT!!
