Describe in your research article the five essential components of patient-centered care.
Discuss whether or not you enjoyed the material but is instead a means to assess whether or not you understood the material well enough to briefly summarize it. In other words, do not make your own argument in the summary papers (you will do that on your exam answers), instead summarize the study or key arguments the author(s) is making.
a) Question of clarification: Is there something in the reading that didn‘t quite make sense? If so, you might ask a question of clarification, seeking to understand what the author is saying.
b) Question of application: Do you see a way that the material might be apply to a practical situation? Examples might include improving long-distance communication between family members or using Twitter to effectively build social ties. A question of application probes how the material might be applied practically.
c) Question of connection: Do you see a connection between this week‘s readings and last week‘s? A question of connection ties readings together across the course.
d) Question of challenge: Do you think the reading is just way off base? Does something you read in this course, or another communication course, or a real-life experience contradict it? A question of challenge respectfully challenges the text‘s claims.

What are the four aspects of the business environment, and how can one write a research paper on them?Tony Caruso had not returned for dinner, and his wife, Karen, was nervous. She put on some sandals and hurried across the dunes, a half mile to the ocean shore. She soon came upon their dog, Blue, tied to an old picket fence. Tony’s shoes and clothing were piled neatly nearby. Karen and friends searched frantically throughout the evening. A little past midnight, Tony’s body washed ashore, his lungs filled with water. A local doctor concluded he had accidentally drowned. Karen and her friends were not the only ones who were distraught. Tony had been partners with Beth Smiles in an environmental consulting business, Enviro-Vision. They were good friends, and Beth was emotionally devastated. When she was able to focus on business issues, Beth filed an insurance claim with the Coastal Insurance Group. Beth hated to think about Tony’s death in financial terms, but she was relieved that the struggling business would receive $2 million on the life insurance policy. A little past midnight, Tony’s body washed ashore, his lungs filled with water. Several months after filing the claim, Beth received this reply from Coastal: “Under the policy issued to Enviro-Vision, we are conditionally liable in the amount of $1 million in the event of Mr. Caruso’s death. If his death is accidental, we are conditionally liable to pay double indemnity of $2 million. But pursuant to section H(5), death by suicide is not covered. “After a thorough investigation, we have concluded that Anthony Caruso’s death was an act of suicide, as defined in section B(11) of the policy. Your claim is denied in its entirety.” Beth was furious. She was convinced Tony was incapable of suicide. And her company could not afford the $2 million loss. She decided to consult her lawyer, Chris Pruitt. This case is a fictionalized version of several real cases based on double indemnity insurance policies. In this chapter, we follow Beth’s dispute with Coastal from initial interview through appeal, using it to examine three fundamental areas of law: the structure of our court systems, civil lawsuits, and alternative dispute resolution. When Beth Smiles meets with her lawyer, Chris Pruitt brings a second attorney from his firm, Janet Booker, who is an experienced litigator, that is, a lawyer who handles court cases. If they file a lawsuit, Janet will be in charge, so Chris wants her there for the first meeting. Janet probes about Tony’s home life, the status of the business, his personal finances, everything. Beth becomes upset that Janet doesn’t seem sympathetic, but Chris explains that Janet is doing her job: She needs all the information, good and bad. Janet starts thinking about the two methods of dispute resolution: litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Litigation refers to lawsuits, the process of filing claims in court, and ultimately going to trial. Alternative dispute resolution is any other formal or informal process used to settle disputes without resorting to a trial. Similar to week 2, this discussion has several elements. Excel has a couple of ways to calculate the regression equation and you are going to attempt each of them in your initial post this week. We do this in the discussion environment so that students can learn the fundamentals of regression using Excel. If you have questions, check out the posts of other students who have been reviewed by Dr. Letsch and where the subject line states something about that post being Excellent or Accurate. Try to compare what they have done with what you have attempted. This work will help you succeed with the project in week 7. 1. Journalize the following terms from your textbook: Dependent Variable, Independent Variable, Regression, Regression Equation, Slope, Intercept, Pearson correlation coefficient or Rsquared, 2. In your own words, please describe and explain regression to someone with no financial background. Why would we need to calculate regression and provide someone with the regression equation? What is the Pearson Correlation Coefficient and what does it tell you about your data and the regression equation provided? 3. Determine which data set to use from one of the approved data tables (based on the first initial of your last name) in the attachment below. Copy and begin with Row 6 and the two columns of data selected for you ending with Row 32. Paste your data set to a new Excel Worksheet beginning in column A1. The data should now be on cells A1-B27. 4. With only your approved data set, starting in cell A30-A32 enter in your textual descriptions for the following functions to be placed in cells B30-B32. Determine which column is your Dependent or for Excel the Y variable and which column is your Independent or for Excel the X variable (you will need to remember these designations as you will use them a few times in this discussion. Use Excel formulas(functions) to calculate slope (=Slope), Intercept (=Intercept), and R.Squared (=RSQ) in cells B30, B31,& B32). 5. In Cell A33 enter text, “Regression Equation” and in cell B33, using the information provided in cells B30 and B31, type your regression equation. NOTE: begin with a single quote mark (‘) to tell Excel you are providing a textual formula. The cell should begin with ‘y= 6. In Excel, under the Data Tab there is a program called “Data Analysis” (same program used in week 2 for standard deviation); open the Regression input box, enter in your x and y input Range data cells, including the label row in cells A2 and B2, and check the Labels and Line Fit Blots boxes. In the Outbox Options Selection area select Output Range and Enter E2. Now copy the Excel screen (by holding down the alt key while pressing the prt sc key)then click on OK. In your worksheet, paste a copy of the Regression input box on Cell J21. Verify your calculations of Slope, Intercept, and Rsquared with your calculations in cells B30, B31, and B32. 7. Review the graph that was placed on your worksheet. Expand the size of the graph filling cells O2 to X17. Click on the data points in the middle of the graph. Right click your mouse and Add the trendline. The Format Treadline box will appear to the right of the screen. Click Display Equation on Chart. Compare this equation with the equation you drafted in #5 above. If the equation matches and your formulas in #6 above all match your Regression Summary Output beginning on cell E2, then you are finished – move to step 8 below. If not, please try to correct your work. 8. Copy your worksheet to your PC. Attach the worksheet to your discussion original answer for #2 above. 9.
