This course emphasizes that businesses should be socially responsible, ecological sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint. Black and Decker (aka Black+Decker or B+D) is an example of one such company. It manufactures and sells a variety of household products including power tools, kitchen appliances, lawn and garden equipment etc. Also, it’s a part of StanleyBlack&Decker organization.
Your objective for this project is to do an Internet based literature search and describe in detail, the methods/processes used by Blacker & Decker/StanleyBlack&Decker to develop green products, sustainable production processes, and implement eco-friendly supply chain management.
In 1500 -2000 words, you report should address the following topics:
Introduction to ecological sustainability

This is a team/group project. The group size is limited to a maximum of three (3) members. Your report should be 1500 – 2000 words (excluding quoted and bibliographic material) long, typewritten, professional looking and be in the APA format. It should be written by you in your own words. The “Turnitin” Similarity Index (SI) of your report should be less than 20%.
Due date: Week #10
Please submit a copy of your report in the dropbox by the due date, and also hand-in a print copy of the report to the professor by the due date.
This project is worth 10% of your term marks.

Your submission will be scanned by “Turnitin” and marks will be deducted if the originality is violated.
