Assignment Question

All students are required to write a final report dealing with their work. This report should be approximately five (5) pages in length (typed, double spaced). It must be primarily analytical, rather than descriiptive. It should emphasize what the student has learned from this experience, how well his/her time was used in performing the tasks which were assigned, suggestions for improving work performance, etc. Descriiptions of experiences should be geared to providing examples of how the internship has been an educational experience. I. Experience and Educational Guidelines A. Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program related to Political Science B. Demonstrated interest in politics, policy-making, and campaign processes. C. Experience in volunteer work, particularly in political campaigns or community organizing, is highly desirable. D. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. E. Basic understanding of political campaign strategies and current political landscape. F. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

II. Internship Tasks Research and Analysis Conduct research on policy issues, political trends, and opponent strategies. Assist in the analysis of demographic data and voter behavior. Campaign Communications Draft press releases and campaign statements. Manage and create content for social media platforms. Event Coordination Assist in organizing campaign events ( specfically did fundraiser events with the indian community such as APPI) Coordinate logistics, such as venue, staffing, and materials. Voter Outreach Engage in direct voter outreach activities, including phone banking and canvassing. Assist in developing outreach strategies to target specific voter groups. Data Management Input and manage data related to voter contacts, donations, and campaign activities. Utilize campaign databases to track campaign progress and analyze effectiveness. Administrative Support Provide general administrative support to campaign staff. Assist in scheduling, correspondence, and other organizational tasks.
