Newark and the Great Migration Analyze the attached “Tuttle How Newark Became Newark CH 6” reading The response should be 1-2 pages. Double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font. Title isn’t necessary since this is only a short response. The response needs to include:
• TOPIC: The basic questions: When? Where? What is this reading on Newark history about?
• ARGUMENT: An original thesis statement based on the topic of that source
• EVIDENCE: At least ONE direct quote from the reading to support your thesis.
• SIGNIFICANCE: An explanation of why this history matters NOW using evidence from James Credle oral history interview.
• WORK CITED: Always cite your sources!!! In the first paragraph, rather than talk about who the author is, tell the reader what you are arguing about in Newark’s history. The last paragraph needs to be more firmly connected to the rest of the essay
