The Synthesis The objective of this assignment is to synthesize the main ideas of two texts. (Assigned texts are available through Canvas.) Synthesis is defined as making connections across multiple sources of information to support a new idea or thesis. It involves the critical reading of written sources, categorizing information, organizing ideas, and developing an original thesis that can be supported by the sources. A synthesis essay has several requirements: but does use unique evidence from both texts as support.directing their respective paragraphs.
