After reading chapter 16 of the texts watch the video “Lowballed” Documentary investigates alleged home appraisal bias and write a brief 1-2 page paper answering the following questions: What forms of Implicit Bias do you think the documented households in the video faced when their homes were appraised? Were the unfair home appraisals in the video the result of “Systemic/Institutional Bias” or “Cognitive Bias” or both? Explain. What measures are being taken to Reduce Bias in Home Appraisals today? Do you think they such efforts will be effective?
