Students will analyze a problem/issue in criminal justice in the United States. It should be one that offers some challenges but is still possible to resolve. Students are expected to do some research on this issue and gather facts. Students are reminded to comply with the University’s academic integrity policy available on Blackboard Focus on what could be done to solve the problem. A discussion forum is available to discuss problems that you might find interest . Format: Essay, 12pt Times New Roman, Double-spaced, indentation at the beginning of each paragraph, One inch margins on all sides, 1,000-1,250 words (3-5 pages) The written assignment should include the following criteria: – Identify the problem – Explain the problem – History of the problem – Identify causes of the problem – Previous interventions (failed/successful attempts to solve the problem. – Who is concerned about the problem (stakeholders)? – Suggest at least one (1) possible solution and/or recommendation to solve the problem. – How will we know if the possible solution was successful?
