Assignment Question
The question of this final case analysis is based on your filling a role as advisor and consultant to the leaders of the company as they chart a course over the coming five years. As a result, your final question is simple: based on the various strategies under consideration by the company as discussed in the case,
what is your comprehensive recommendation on what strategies they should and should not pursue over the next five years?
This analysis should clearly demonstrate and/or present your understanding of the following:
1. a thoughtful rationale and argument as to why your recommendation is the ideal approach going forward,
2. a thorough understanding of ALL the proposed strategies discussed in the case including their individual strategic purpose/objectives and financial analyses and projections,
3. an understanding of how your overall strategy impacts and is impacted by the overall pro forma financial projections of the company,
4. an understanding of how the different strategies or decisions align with the company’s overall customer value proposition, and 5. an appreciation on how the various individual strategies (e.g., new fulfillment center) fit together as a whole company strategy over simply individual and unrelated decisions
