Choose a recent conflict, preferably one you have witnessed (not been directly involved in) or are at least aware of and that you can discuss with the parties involved. Using the Hocker-Wilmot Conflict Assessment Guide (p. 67), you will analyze/deconstruct the conflict thoroughly. You will need to discuss with each party several of the items in the guide, so be sure to (1) fully prepare before meeting with them and (2) take notes for writing your analysis. You will also need to have each member of the conflict complete the TKI assessment, so you know which conflict styles they used (or are still using). Interview the parties separately! Do not attempt to mediate or resolve the conflict as that is not your role or the purpose of this exercise/assignment. Do not share information you gather from the parties with the other member. You may use pseudo names if the parties prefer that to protect their identity. In addition to the interviews, you must incorporate research into the paper as follows: 2 scholarly sources from the CSUSB academic database 2 quotes from our textbook This paper should be 5-6 FULL pages in length (not including the cover page and reference page), written in APA format, and should use headings/subheading for each area in the assessment. Each bullet point in the Hocker -Wilmot Assessment works well as a subheading in the paper. Remember, quotes from the interviews must be cited in-text.
