Assessment Procedure: One of the main features of this course is the development of self-insight about your abilities as a negotiator. You can further enrich your learning through analysis and reflection on your past or on-going negotiating experiences, how other people perceive you, and your own approach to negotiations.

In thinking about your negotiations, you’ll want to evaluate your skills (strengths as well as weaknesses) as a negotiator. weaknesses as a negotiator using concepts and readings from the module. More information, including essay samples will be posted on Canvas. Details The essay should amount to 3000 words in total and use class readings almost exclusively.

Your final submission must be made to Turnitin as a complete and single piece of work, made up of a Title Page, along with an Introduction, Final Summary, References List and Appendix. The title page, references and appendix are included in the final word count. Please ensure that your title page includes your Sussex ID number and the word count. Please thoroughly check and proof-read your work before submission. You are encouraged to write in prose, using appropriate headings and sub-headings throughout. – Be written in a good standard of UK English, with properly structured paragraphs and the use of headings and sub-headings where necessary. – Use a range of references, with particular emphasis placed on the use of peer-reviewed journal articles, correctly cited and referenced in APA style. – Avoid overusing bullet-points. It is better to write in clear sentences, and try not to ‘list’ reasons, recommendations, strengths and weaknesses. At Level 7 you should be evaluating and discussing the findings.
