The Resolution of Conflict

Develop a 500-750 word written response paper to the following question. Papers must include a substantive elaboration on the topic as well as support from scripture. Do not use the question in your response.
The Biblical scriptures from James indicate that conflict is often a result of personal desires. Discuss how this knowledge might assist the Christian health administrator
in the resolution of conflict in the workplace.

historical literature

This week you had an opportunity to sample some of the historical literature and you viewed video clips that draw connections between the past to our contemporary world. Now it is your turn to add a brief narrative to the historical record. You may model your story after the kind of stories you heard on Story Corps or you may use one of your readings as a model. Write a short narrative (no more than 2 paragraphs) which tells your story of a significant event (possibly revolving around a historical event); it should be a story about an event that had an impact on your life (professional, educational, spiritual, etc.) a story that you feel comfortable sharing with the class and a story that will not make the class uncomfortable.

Topic: Comparison

1. Using Se\’s capability approach to justice and a Confucian conception of human rights to argue against other two Templeton essays.
2. Write for impact, not length. Your reader should not have to search for the main points of your argument. On the other hand, don’t expect to explain complex philosophical ideas in just a few sentences. Make sure your meaning is clear and thoughts well organized.
3. Please follow the grade rubric.

Topic: Language Development—The Movers and the Shakers

In this time, you have observed your students’ difficulty in fully grasping the importance of language theory as it relates to the healthy development of young children. To overcome this struggle, you have created a lesson that will prompt students to explore how young children learn language. You are excited, because you believe this will provide students with foundation knowledge in language theory and acquisition. You decide to begin your lesson with a PowerPoint presentation that outlines the contributions of key language theorists and the principles that define their theories.
In this Assignment, you create a 10- to 15-slide PowerPoint presentation.
Then, visit the scenario presented for this Assignment, which prompts you to assume the role of an instructor in a community college setting. Next, reflect on all that you have explored in this module with regard to language acquisition theory, as well as the key principles and major contributions by the field’s most notable theorists: Piaget, Vygotsky, Skinner, and Chomsky. Last, consider why it is vital for early childhood professionals to possess knowledge of language acquisition and development.
Submit a PowerPoint presentation that adheres to the following:
• In a minimum of 8 slides (2 slides per theorist), provide an overview of each theorist—Piaget, Vygotsky, Skinner, and Chomsky—that includes:
o key language acquisition and developmental principles; and
o major contributions to the field of language acquisition and development.
• At least 2 additional slides that explain:
o why the information shared by these theorists is vital to early childhood educators; and
o how early childhood educators can use this information in their practice.
Cite at least three references in APA format to substantiate your thinking.

Topic: Puberty

Discuss the initiation of puberty and the role that hormones play during this period in the adolescent\’s life span.

Compare and contrast the hormones relevant during the menstrual cycle and menopause. What changes occur in the woman\’s body as she prepares to enter menopause?
Tanner staging during puberty has been used for decades. Tanner staging also estimates when to expect to see these changes in boys and girls. Yet it seems that girls and boys are \”maturing faster\” today than in previous decades. Do you believe this is a true statement—that adolescents are maturing at an earlier age? If so, what do you believe is the cause of this? If you disagree with this statement, give rationale for why.

Topic: design on your own

This assignment is not meant to be an autobiography. It is an exercise where you attempt to explain a phenomenon with the theories learned in class. Do not conduct interviews or participant observations in order to collect data for this paper. You do not have ethical clearance.

This assignment is meant for you to analyze something meaningful to you. You can choose a topic relating to a personal experience, a newspaper article or a broad societal topic (you can email me with questions about topics). You can also use the same topic discussed in your proposal. The essay must have an argument that is supported through different types of evidence and theory. Your essay can be trans formative. This means you can present possible solutions to the problem addressed. To ensure conceptual clarity. Please make sure to explain your understanding of concepts, theories, and ideas.

Essay Instructions: You must use at least four articles from the course syllabus and three external sources. External sources are to be from academic journals or books (no Wikipedia etc.). If in doubt, please ask. Beside the scholarly citations feel free to use news articles and other sources to support and contextualize your work. Please note: It is not sufficient to simply quote one definition in the paper, the concepts from the class must be used consistently throughout the paper.

The essay must be double spaced, using 12pt Times New Roman font, and 1 inch margins. It must also include a reference page. Make sure all the sources in your essay are in your bibliography and vice versa.

Essay Structure: A good essay is clear and to the point. It has an introduction that draws the reader to your topic and introduces your research question/argument /hypothesis/thesis. Make an argument, you want to ensure that the reader has a clear understanding of where you stand on the issue and the steps you will take to prove your point. In the body of the paper you want to explain concepts pertinent to your topic. The rest of your paper develops your argument by providing evidence (from other authors, examples etc.) in support of your argument. Make sure you provide a conclusion. The conclusion can be a way for you to sum up what you have argued as well as to make recommendations for change.

Evaluation
Papers will evaluated according to the following criteria
