This is a detailed character analysis that will be completed after reading the play. The following questions can help you plan your essay.
(1) The sort of person the character was at the beginning of the play? What were they like at the end? What caused the changes? Can you point to a key turning point?
(2) What was the moral low point, the moral high point for this character?
(3) To what degree was the character responsible for this tragedy?
(4) What should this character have done differently?
(5) How would this character dress? What general style of clothing would suit? What colors would best represent the character and why?
Consider a publicly listed company whose business performance has been criticised publicly
and, using its annual report, reference documents about the company (e.g. analysts’ reports,
in-depth interviews and articles, documents on company’s website) and write a report about
its governance protocols and practices. (This could include independence of directors, length
of tenure of directors, other responsibilities of directors, etc.).
Whichever option you choose your report should include:
• A brief description of the organisation and its background/industry. This description
should be a short section only.
• An outline of the bases or criteria for the review of the organisation’s governance. For
example, mention which standards or guiding principles are relevant for the review,
discuss their importance and why it is appropriate for you to use them.
• A critical review of the organisation’s governance applying the relevant concepts,
principles, standards or other tools and techniques learnt during this subject, in
accordance with your discussion above.
• A list of recommendations for suggested improvement based on your review. The
recommendations should only be a short section in the overall report.
Write a cohesive and scholarly response based on your reading and research this week that addresses the following:
In examining a performance management process, what are an employee’s role and responsibilities in working collaboratively with his or her direct supervisor to develop short- and long-term objectives in the plan? Who should be responsible for ensuring the objectives are being met? Who has accountability for ensuring that measurable objectives are developed and met?
This argument essay will be using 2 sources of book \”Civilization and Its Discoontents by Sigmund Freud, and \”Deliverance\” by James Dickey.
This argument essay requires very clear quotes from \”civilization and its Discontents\” and \”Deliverance\” ; after the quotes, has to have page number. \”…..\”(89.)
Instruction: Please follow the Instruction.
Since \”it is impossible to overlook the extent to which civilization is built upon a renunciation of instinct\” (Freud 51 – 52) , we can understand why there is a such a struggle for these four city men to shed their civilized \”skin\” and resort to their primal selves in order to survive in the wild in James Dickey\’s Deliverance.
So, in a thesis-driven argument, and using Freud\’s Civilization and Its Discontents to help support your position, argue one of the following:
1. Analyze a specific conflict between the \”law of nature\” and \”the law of man\” in the novel.
2. In what specific situation does Ed\’s re-connection to his instinctive nature enable him to cope with what he is confronted with?
