It will be an empirical study, and the methodologies used would be Time Series Analysis, Econometrics, and most importantly The Event Study Method.

Using your knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence, you will develop an action plan to address this issue. Using published research or your own professional experience, identify a problem associated with a disease or health condition. Find credible supporting data to get a clear understanding of the current state of the problem. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation that includes the following sections:
Brief description of the current state of the problem or issue
Presentation of supporting data and sources
Discussion about why the problem should be addressed
Explanation on how data analytics could address issue
Recommended measures to track
Insight that could be gained through data
Example of visualization that could help present data

TOPIC
A recent article in the Washington Post states that, married couples with children now occupy fewer than one in every four households–a share that has been slashed in half since 1960 and is the lowest ever recorded by the census.
The article continues:
As marriage with children becomes an exception rather than the norm, social scientists say it is also becoming the self-selected province of the college-educated and the affluent. The working class and the poor, meanwhile, increasingly steer away from marriage, while living together and bearing children out of wedlock.
\”The culture is shifting, and marriage has almost become a luxury item, one that only the well educated and well paid are interested in,\” said Isabel V. Sawhill, an expert on marriage and a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
Marriage has declined across all income groups, but it has declined far less among couples who make the most money and have the best education. These couples are also less likely to divorce. Many demographers peg the rise of a class-based marriage gap to the erosion since 1970 of the broad-based economic prosperity that followed World War II.
\”We seem to be reverting to a much older pattern, when elites marry and a great many others live together and have kids,\” said Peter Francese, demographic trends analyst for Ogilvy & Mather, an advertising firm.
As cohabitation and out-of-wedlock births increase among the broader population, social scientists predict that marriage with children will continue its decades-long retreat into relatively high-income exclusivity.*
*Harden, Blaine. Numbers drop for those married with children. Washington Post 5 Mar. 2007.
In a well-organized essay, answer the following question:
In your opinion, why are fewer couples getting married? What, if anything, should be done about it? In answering this question, you may want to illustrate your ideas by referring to personal experiences, observations describing the attitudes and situations of people you know, or any additional materials (texts, movies, etc.) with which you are familiar. Be sure to spend some time editing and proofreading your work.
Please write 5 paragraph, fist one for introduction, 3 body paragraph and 1 conclusion
Mitigation Strategies
Address the following:
1.Describe the mitigation measures that have been implemented to address earthquakes in Ecuador. See attachment entitled Mitigation and Risk Reduction for examples of mitigation methods. See also Earthquake Risk Reduction Addressing the Unmet Challenges Interdisciplinary Research white paper.
2.Identify and briefly describe at least one additional measure that has not been implemented in Ecuador but would mitigate the damage and destruction caused by earthquakes in that country.
3.Evaluate this mitigation strategy using the FEMA criteria discussed in the attachment entitled Mitigation and Risk Reduction.
Assignment Expectations:
Length: This Case Assignment should be at least 3 pages not counting the title page and references.
References: At least 4 references should be included from academic sources (e.g. peer-reviewed journal articles). Use a minimum of 3 direct quotes. Quoted material should not exceed 10% of the total paper (since the focus of these assignments is critical thinking). Build on the ideas of others. When material is copied verbatim from external sources, it MUST be enclosed in quotes. The references should be cited within the text and also listed at the end of the assignment in the References section using APA format.
Organization: APA Subheadings should be used to organize your paper according to each question.
The following items will be assessed in particular:
Relevance: All content is connected to the question.
Precision: Specific question is addressed. Statements, facts, and statistics are specific and accurate.
Depth of discussion: Student presents and integrates points that lead to deeper issues.
Breadth: Multiple perspectives and references, multiple issues and factors considered.
Evidence: Points are well-supported with facts, statistics and references.
Logic: Presented discussion makes sense, conclusions are logically supported by premises, statements, or factual information.
Clarity: Writing is concise, understandable, and contains sufficient detail or examples.
Objectivity: Student avoids use of first person and subjective bias.

You are deep into the analysis phase. You have finished both the Functional Modeling (activity diagram, use case diagram, and use case description) and the Structural Modeling (class diagram and the CRC cards). Now you are ready to move into the Behavioral Modeling where you will model the behavior or the objects that make up the VACATION MOTORS system.
In this week, you will use your functional and structural models as the basis for your behavioral models that need to be developed for the VACATION MOTORS system. Specifically, your deliverables for this week are designed to develop these two behavioral diagrams for the Complete Arrangements use case.
1.Sequence diagram
2.Communication diagram
In addition, you will also need to create a state machine diagram for the Purchase Request class.
These behavioral model and diagrams are major milestones in your architectural and design work. They give you your first opportunity to verify that your use case (in this case, Create Purchase Request) could actually be implemented using the objects of your class diagram design. If you reach this verification, then you are done with the analysis phase of your VACATION MOTORS project.
Deliverables
1.Sequence diagram for the Create Purchase Request use case
2.Communication diagram for the Create Purchase Request use case
3.State Machine diagram for a Purchase Request object

STEP 1: Watch MY iConnect Live Lecture
1.Watch my recorded iConnect Live Lecture. I will show how to use RSA and Visio for each type of model.
STEP 2: Generate the Sequence Diagram
1.Create a sequence diagram for the Purchase Request use case using the Rational Software Architect software in the Citrix iLab environment based on your functional and structural models. You can use Visio if you would like instead.
STEP 3: Generate a Communication Diagram
1.Create a communication diagram for the Purchase Request use case using the Rational Software Architect software in the Citrix iLab environment based on your functional and structural models. You can use Visio instead if you wish.
STEP 4: Generate an Object State Diagram
1.Create a state machine diagram for an object of the Purchase Request object using the Rational Software Architect software in the Citrix iLab environment based on your functional and structural models. This model will show the changes to the purchase request object from its creation to the end of its life in the system. You can use Visio if you wish instead.
STEP 5: Upload your Word Document to your Dropbox
Copy and paste all models into One Word document with the file name YourLastName_CIS339_Week4 and upload to your Dropbox.

Television has come a long way since the days of large antennas and black and white sets. Today we have cable and satellite that gives us virtually any type of program we want at any time of the day. With this type of programming, one would wonder as to what type of influence it has on shaping the lives of America\’s youth.
Violence and suspense are a mainstay for much of the programming on TV today. Examine current shows on TV relating to crime and violence. Make a list of at least three programs that seem to stand out more than others when it comes to violence. Select one of those three and write a 1-2 page paper on how that particular program might influence youth in either a good or bad way. Remember to use APA formatting.
