Do I really understand Badley\’s main point of allowing more \”fun\” into academic writing? What does this mean to academic writing as a whole? Should academic writing stay formal? After all, we are academics and should have our own standards. But what should they be? And, can they change or should they change? Why should they? Would it damage the writer\’s credibility?
Should I try to write more playfully in my academic writing? What would it do to my writing for other professors? In my discipline? If I did write with more fun, how do I do it? Does Badley give me some clues or examples in his article? What are they? Should I attempt it in one of my other classes besides this writing class? What would happen? The report has been completed with the given grade of 31/100. The main reason is because of the calculations and the lack of critical analysis. I sorted out the calculations which should pick up the grade to 52/100, However, there is a lack of in-depth critical analysis of 700 words on the two airlines\’ financial performance, comparing and contrasting the two. The overall assignment needs to achieve a minimum of 70/100. This report may also need some grammar check, proofreading and maybe structure adjustment. In order to understand the full assignment, and how to critically analyze the work, please look at the \’Assignment brief\’ attached\’. I have also attached the feedback given by my lecturer titled as \’Report feedback\’, which includes his comments all the way at the bottom of the document. This paper is to have an introduction of a practice situation experience that clearly identifies a leadership issue. I have chosen a a planned organised initiative (proactive) where the charge nurse implemented nurses to wear bibs clearly stating during drugs rounds not to disturb them although this was not adhered to and was often ignored by staff and families visiting patients and because of this drugs errors where occurring. Upon noticing this she stopped visitors from staying on the ward during the drug round time and ensured staff where clear on the do not disturb round at every handover. I will upload the essay guidelines and a reading list we have been issued to include for references. This essay has to be linked to the scenario throughout with critical analysis/evaluation and synthesis. I have not completed an introduction as I would like the writer to complete this with my details if possible. The introduction should clearly state the intention and structure of my essay. Please review the two case studies linked below which are related to industrial explosions investigated by the Chemical Safety Board. One involves a titanium dust explosion. The second involves an anhydrous ammonia release. On the web pages linked below, you will find a number of links, including video and actual investigation reports. Kudos to the Chemical Safety Board for the good work they do! These are very interesting incidents, and there is a lot that can be learn from them. While reviewing the cases, please take some time to appreciate the nuances between the two investigations and the hazardous substances involved.
