Week One: Introduction to Statistical Thinking.

The most important part of statistics is the thought process, so make sure that you explain your answers (and show your work), but be careful with statistics. The following statistics/probability problems may intrigue you and you may be surprised. The answers are not always as you might think.

3. With the advent of deep sea, unmanned, submersibles, oceanographers gained the opportunity to conduct underwater exploration in areas previously inaccessible. New age remotely operated submersibles (ROS) are very expensive, so the designers attach the controls to the operating platform with a heavy duty cable that provides both power and communications to the submersible.

Due to the frequent loss of the ROS, designers decided to use a statistician to determine the best course of action. The statistician found that the number of submersibles they could recover had more damage to the internal components than to the cable that supported the vehicle.

The statistician\’s recommendation was to enhance the support cable rather than tweak the internal components to make the submersible more reliable. I earned my bachelors degree at the university of Wollongong in Dubai and graduated at 2015. A little about myself: My name is Amanda Maria Caballero. I am hispanic and i migrated from Chile, Santiago. my parents are cuban and my mom is a registered nurse who is now becoming a nurse practitioner. when coming to this country i had a hard time learning english, and my mom to this day struggles with speaking english. she is my inspiration and and has demonstrated to me that anything is possible. she is a single mother who raises me alone and i just feel like being hispanic is the best thing. She has shown me so many things and how to love this country even though loving hers. being hispanic is a great feeling as many of us stand united and it gives me a sense of unity within my community. I love being able to communicate with other people around the world speaking Spanish and hope to never lose that quality. over these past years i have suffered as my mother faced hardships at her job and we had to face finding another home. luckily we never got to that point and we were fortunate enough for her to get back on her feet and thats when i decided to get a job at 16 years old. my mother and her boyfriend that have practically raised me divorced and they have always been very unstable so being in the household was hard. Although i didn\\\”t let it affect my school work, that was not always the case. being hispanic and from another country sure has its benefits but it also has its defeats as we are seen as minority. except i have EXTREMELY proud to be hispanic and will continue to praise this quality.

Analyze the current situation of the company by examining the strategic management challenges facing the company you selected. The outside research will help with this part of the case study. The analysis can also include a review of current challenges, future developments, and future trends.
Conduct an analysis of the mission statement and vision by analyzing the case itself.
Examine the internal and external environmental aspects and also a competitive analysis which have or currently impacting the company.
