Answering the question: the extent to which the work has dealt directly and clearly with the assigned task and provided a focused answer to the particular intellectual problem posed.
Structure: the extent to which the work demonstrates coherent organization of the material and an overall argument that proceeds logically from introduction to conclusion.
Conceptual clarity: the extent to which the work has understood key terms and concepts, defined ambiguous terms, and employed them correctly.
Analytic Content: the extent to which the work provides a critical analysis of the problem that evaluates competing arguments and interpretations rather than a purely descriptive or narrative discussion.

Evidence and Examples: the extent to which the work deploys apposite examples and pieces of evidence to support its claims, thereby turning unsupported assertions into critical arguments
Style and Presentation: the extent to which the work makes effective and correct use of the English language, is clearly and soberly written, and tidily presented.
While there is no set order of priority among these criteria, the main emphasis is on evidence of understanding and the ability to think, to argue a case or to solve problems. These criteria are used to categorise submissions into the following classes (note that the narratives below are guidelines)

Happiness and Freedom

This week, your writing Assignment focuses on individual definitions of happiness. For this writing Assignment, you will prepare and conduct interviews with two people about their definition of happiness, how they reached this view, and whether they feel happiness is achievable.

Choose two people who vary in age and experience. Only one of the subjects can be someone you know well. This is an opportunity to learn about acquaintances and strangers as well. These should be face-to-face interviews.

Next, ask a variety of questions to get them to consider not just their definition of happiness, but its origins and development. You can use these sample questions to get you started, but should add more questions or change the interview as it develops: Has your definition of happiness changed over time? What experiences have influenced your definition? Do you expect the definition to change again?

You will write a compare and contrast essay. Introduce this Assignment by introducing each subject one at a time. Who are they? What is the nature of your relationship?

Finally, you should draw conclusions about the process and the answers that were given. Compare and contrast the results of the interviews. Discuss what was similar or different in the replies, whether the subjects were honest, or if the concept of happiness was difficult to define.

The compare and contrast essay should be at least 750 words and should employ terms from the text. The Assignment should be completed in Microsoft Word and should follow the template provided for the sample transcript, essay, and reference page.

E-Commerce

Imagine that you own a small, local clothing store along the Jersey Shore boardwalk and decide that you want to engage in e-Commerce.

Write a  paper on the following:

1.)  Identify the advantages and disadvantages of taking your small business online by performing a SWOT analysis. Include 2-4 items in each category.
2.)  Because the Internet connects computers all over the world, any business that engages in e-Commerce instantly becomes an international business. The key issues that any company faces when it conducts international commerce include trust, culture, language, government, and infrastructure. Explain how you would address each of these issues.
3.)  Businesses that operate on the Web must comply with the same laws and regulations that govern the operations of all businesses, but they face 2 additional complicating factors as they try to comply with the law. First, the Web extends a company’s reach beyond traditional boundaries. Second, the Web increases the speed and efficiency of business communications. Explain how you would overcome these complicating factors that come with e-Commerce in order to comply with the law.
4.)  Law enforcement agencies have difficulty combating many types of online crime. Describe 2 online crimes prevalent in e-Commerce and what you would do to prevent these crimes.

Wide Awake Movie-

Josh says in his speech near the end that he is now ?wide awake.? Define what he means by that?

Even though Wide Awake focuses on a ten-year old?s search for God, it is by no
means a film for ten-year olds. It is safe to say that writer-director
Shyamalan pours some of his own religious wonderings into the screenplay,
something that recurs at the very center of his hugely successful Signs (2002).
At this stage, in a first film, Wide Awake offers one rendition of what sorts
of factors might go into the construction of some sort of religious belief.
This film is by no means exhaustive or necessarily even accurate in what it
portrays. Still, it does offer a portrait of what a young fellow of Hindu
origins thinks and feels religiously after early educational training in a
fancy Roman Catholic preparatory school.

a claim denial letter

Scenario:  You make create your own OR you may use the following:

You are the customer service manager for a local Wal Mart.
A customer named Ruth Morley wrote a claim letter on October 14
asserting that she found a frog’s tail in a 12-ounce bag of
Wal Mart brand frozen mixed vegetables. Fortunately, she discovered
the tail before she prepared and served the vegetables to her
family. She was, of course, repulsed by her find, and she immediately
threw the food out. Now she wants $10,000 in compensation. She included
a photo of the frog tail with her letter as evidence.

You agree that it is unacceptable to find a frog’s tail in a bag of
frozen food, but you believe that her claim is exhorbitant and must
be denied. Before you write her back, check your store’s quality controls
and discuss the matter with the store manager. Do other checks you may
deem necessary to assure her of your store’s commitment to health and
safety.  Be firm but sensitive in your reply. What are you willing to
offer as compensation, as you want to keep Mrs. Morley as a customer
