You are to read the Integrating Problem (Problem 15), which involves the decision of whether to purchase a pharmacy. This problem will require you to utilise and apply concepts acquired throughout your reading to develop answers and suggestions regarding the purchase decision.

After you have read the details of the scenario, answer the following:

What would be the business and economic profit if Samantha purchased the pharmacy?

What theory of profit would account for profits being earned by the pharmacy during the first 3 years?

What is your recommendation regarding the proposed purchase?that is, should Samantha purchase the pharmacy?

Problem 7: Given a total-cost schedule, construct the average- and marginal-cost schedules.

Problem 8: With the information from Problem 7, construct graphical cost curves and explain the relationship among the cost curves.

Problem 9: Using the total-revenue curve of Problem 1 in the textbook and the total-cost curve of Problem 7, derive the total-profit function and show how the firm determines the profit-maximising level of output.

Computer security is not an issue for organizations alone. Anyone whose personal computer is connected to a network or the Internet faces a potential risk of attack. Identify all the potential security threats on a home personal computer. Identify some of the techniques an attacker might employ to access some information on the system.

You, as a group (assuming you own a company e.g. consulting, solution provider or others) have recently referred to ISG international announcement from Dr. William Douglas of a tender bidcall for a Change management proposal. In writing the tender proposal, you are required to submit a 30 page proposal to Dr. William Douglas.
In your proposal, you must mention and discuss your company background clearly, able to provide an outline of the case study objectives, the need to mention and discuss your proposed change management framework and enterprise architecture as strategy to ISG International. In addition, you are asked to provide a cost and benefit analysis for the project completion and mentioning of appropriate references. Your written proposal must be handed to your subject coordinator on 01/6 at the start of the tutorial.
To better understanding on each company’s (group) proposal, Dr. William Douglas would like to invite you to attend and give a presentation talk to ISG International management on 25/5 and 1/6. Details of the presentation can be found in the Assignment 4 outline.
Case Study
Please read the following abstract from Dr. William Douglas:
I am Dr. William Douglas the director of Quality Change Management at ISG International Ltd in Ireland. Recently, ISG International Ltd board of directors had a meeting and they would like to formulate a new business information strategy for the company for a directive goal in the coming years. The current vision statement of ISG International Ltd is ‘The most dynamic software solution company in Ireland that you will ever find in dealing with IT solutions”
Lowering competitive costs, improving customer satisfaction and improving quality of end user products and increasing market shares for ISG International Ltd are the driving forces needed to define for a new mission statement. However, the definition of mission statement for the company should come after the launch of change implementation.
It is believed that a successful change management requires good planning. Therefore, ISG International Ltd has decided to undertake a tender process to find a specialist in change management. The successful tender will be awarded with an €300,000 per year contract of two years with us after a successful completion of the change management at ISG International Ltd.
While submitting your proposal, we would like you to highlight the following tasks:

Objectives
The objectives of this assignment include:
• familiarizing you with best practices for composing usable instructions
• introducing you to methods of usability testing and research
• giving you practice writing informal and formal reports and integrating them into a
document development cycle
• collaborating with a group while working toward a common communication
objective.
Parameters
For this assignment the class will function as a communication-consulting firm. Each team
(2 – 3 students) will function autonomously, reporting directly to me, Marika Seigel, who
will serve in the role of your supervisor.
Client and Project Description
The Upper Penninsula chapter of Little Brothers, Friends of the Elderly will serve as our
client. The chapter is seeking a how-to guide for the social networking site Facebook. The
target audience for this instruction set is senior citizens who have little to no experience
using social media such as Facebook but who want to keep in touch with relatives and
friends who increasingly use these sites as their primary means of keeping in touch. These
users may have varying degrees of computer literacy, but probably have little familiarity
with new forms of social media.
The goal of our firm is to provide Little Brothers with a set of instructions that meets the
needs of their users. Each team will create and usability test an instruction set for using
Facebook. (Note that you are required to conduct at least three tests or evaluations on
your instruction set.) Little Brothers will adopt the best set or sets of instructions for their
use.
