3. A proposal for short, medium and long term improvements to address the issues you have identified
4. Details of performance management. Which, how and where, you would suggest using performance measures to help manage the change/improvement programme

What role does religion and/or gods and goddesses play the lives, arts and traditions of Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome? How did the way people perceived gods affect the way people went about their lives? Write about it. Compare and contrast. Arthur C. Clarke said that “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Pick one piece of technology or technological advancement from each of these four cultures: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. That’s one piece per society. Write about each, connecting the achievement to Clarke’s quote. Then compare and contrast the four achievements.
You have been offered the directorship of four museums: The Humanities Museum of Ancient Mesopotamia, the Humanities Museum of Ancient Egypt, the Humanities Museum of Ancient Greece and the Humanities Museum of Ancient Rome. You must select from one of these positions. All museums are equally funded. Once you have made the decision, you must assemble a collection and develop exhibits. What are your priorities? Intention offers a seductive alternative to the uncertainty of performance. If we believe intention matters as much as action we know the desire behind what we do and can use intention as a way to judge our behavior regardless of what real world impact is behind the action. To believe in the importance of intention is to believe in a stable self who can be clearly understood and represented. Yet how sure are we that intention is not simply another performance that we lay over our actions in a way to understand them that is pleasing to the self? How does intention influence your understanding of social performance, and what (if anything) and how does a performance based model impact our understanding of identity? You must deal with Dorian Gray and Goffman in answering this question, and it may be helpful to take another look at My Dinner with Andre. You should also feel free to use yourself as a text. Nuts and Bolts: Every paper must have a thesis statement. This is the most important sentence of your paper. You must present an argument that is specific. A thesis statement should not be something that is fact based or is obvious. Do not forget the main purpose of a paper is to persuade your reader (me) that your reader should adapt your view. If it is fact-based or obvious thesis there is no point in writing your paper because your reader is already convinced. Every paragraph should have a topic sentence. Think of this as a thesis for the paragraph. Paragraphs should be based on facets of the argument you are trying to prove. Correspondingly, paragraphs should not start with citations. You should begin each paragraph with an assertion. It is your duty to use citations and analysis of the citations to prove each assertion. A citation is not proof in and of itself. Just because Plato or Ibsen writes something does not mean it is true, or even clear. You must consider the implications and demonstrate the relevance of the citation through analysis. No Introductions or conclusions. Begin with your thesis and then move to the body of the paper. The ideas for the best papers begin with real questions. If you know your conclusions before you start there is no reason to write the paper. The best writing is a process of discovery. In trying to find your way to a thesis ask yourself what questions you have about these plays / issues. Correspondingly the topic that seems the easiest to you is not necessarily the best as this might indicate that you are having difficulty discovering something with it.

While students are generally familiar with films released in the last 10 years, they don?t usually have extensive experience with ?old? ones. This assignment requires renting/borrowing and watching a film – that you have not yet seen – made in the years 1930 to 1950, the heyday of the movie studios. You must choose one of the films on the following list — there are a couple silent films and most are in black and white. The films listed below were chosen because they are generally considered classics.
After watching, please address the following topics in your paper (which is to be 2-4 pages in length):
1) Briefly describe, in the most general of terms, what happens in the plot (i.e. man meets girl, there?s a misunderstanding, man loses girl…)

5) Yes, I know there aren?t any good special effects. But what about this movie has made it a ?classic??
6) Finally, did you like it? Why or why not? Please be thoughtful. (In case you?re wondering, yes, I have seen them all ? some more than once.
While browsing IMDB.com, I noticed almost all were noted as available at Amazon instant video (do they have a financial arrangement?) or online. Some are available through other avenues too. Or, if your older relatives buy movies, they will surely have one of these.
