Produce a news report on a topic and for a media form of your choice. This could be, for example, for a print form, broadcast media or blog. For example, you should refer to concepts such as news values, selection, gatekeeping, ideology, bias, visual effects. If you have a created a blog you need to discuss how these concepts are challenged by this new technology. You are encouraged not to be descriptive in detailing the process of production but how the process of production has informed your understanding of theory and practice in making news.

With World War One looming, Britain refocuses its naval and land forces on the defence of the homeland.
